Ghana loves doing this protest. They did this when Nkrumah was president and got rid of him and now look at the punishment they have now. First African country to get independence but still poor.

You talk about Nkrumah but if you'd read any of his books, you'd know that that independence was only in name. Granted, they've not figured out yet that their human capital is the most important but Ghana and a lot of African countries are kept poor by design both from inside and outside.

Marxists and Pan-Africanists aren't good economists. Nkrumah made many dumb and suicidal economic decisions that doomed Ghana and made it corrupt and backward even by African standards. Nana Akufo takes the same Pan-Africanist stance as Nkrumah and just wouldn't stay at home and develope Ghana. He is always on some foreign trip, giving interviews like a rockstar, telling off some foreign journalist all on taxpayers money. Japan didn't give interviews when they were starting off - they focused on their country! So did Singapore! So did China!!
Now he's running to the same IMF that Pan-Africanists call one of the last vestige of colonialism, shamelessly! Reality always catches up with the incompetent loudmouth. Ghana wouldn't have had to borrow if only it was run by a competent leader who focused on his people first. Save yourself before you think of saving others

No one dares to say that the inflation in developing countries is due to US interest rate hike.

If Ghana wasn't a consumer driven nation, it wouldn't be facing inflation this massive. The US cannot fashion policies that would favour Ghana was some paternalistic Fief Lord. US policies favour the US economy. Ghana's economic policies should do the same

Maybe next month Al Jazeera's News will include which countries on Earth are not protesting "economic woes"? ✌
