Wauw, it looks sooo nice? Beautifull blue parts on your beautifull T-line. ❤
As also an owner of a SuperlightM6LXBrompton, from 2019, I have had my fun of changing most loose parts on my bike to carbon and titanium, so now it is considerably lighter than my original bought bike, but still with mudguards, as a - Dane. I like my bike to look as Standard as possible so I have only changed most of my brakeparts to titanium, and they still looks like original. It seems that Brompton has changed size of parts many times during the years, so I had problems finding the right sizes for my year, as a new metal tensioner for my chain.
Sadly I have never met any other Brompton owners in Denmark, so I must do my touring alone 🙂. Finn. Denmark
I do like your video's and its great seeing NY when your out cycling, those brakes are great looking and stand out in a crowd of bromptons. Its a shame they didnt put a locking pin on the lever as on the brakes, making them easier to service on the road.
Maybe on the next version..
That could be useful. I haven't seen locking pins on expensive levers recently.
Nice..!! Thanks . Although I guess , I’ll have the brake lever wrap /sleeve up, to have a more comfortable feel.😁 Looking forward to your review on how well it brakes.
It's expensive, but the price seems completely justified. I'm curious to hear your review on them later, I always hear carbon brakes are very spongy.
Hi Shu, this is Ted Ciamillo, the designer of the brakes and levers. The levers are a new product and are the lightest in the world. Can you comment on the how comfortable they feel? I am a perfectionist and if there is a desire for more comfort, I can modify the design. Thanks.
Hi Ted. The brake levers look and feel great. I will continue to use them and give you feedback. They really look great as a set.
Are these for sale yet? Worldwide shipping?
I have seen them on Fantastic4toys.com and they ship worldwide.
A good set of brake pads on a standard Brompton calliper is more than good enough.
For most people the stock brakes are fine. This is geared towards those that are into customizing their Bromptons.
It seems to me like they removed too much material from where the cable housing is supposed to go into the brake levers and calipers, so the cable housing doesn't look like it has enough support to not kink the cable at that point. Those brakes are very light, but it looks like a reeeaaaalllyyyy big hassle to install or replace a cable. I guess that's okay as long as the brake functionality isn't compromised. Also, I think Shoko must be editing out just the right amount of "rights" because there are still enough to show Shu's character, but not enough that I have ever thought it was excessive.
The install hassle is my fault for not completing the installation video for this product. There is an easier way to install the brakes and I will have that video up on the site shortly.
Awesome
wouldn't direct mount brakes be better? someone tell brompton
Hi. You're a Brompton pro. If I ride daily (20 mi/day) how often would u replace the rear hinge pin?
2nd, it isn't the pin that needs replacing but the bushings, right? Thank you.
It depends on many factors. I have actually never replaced any pins. I was told by some people that replace pins every 6-12 months! The pins and bushings on the T Line are really cheap. You should replace both at the same time since it requires loctite.
@@BromptonFamilyTime , thank you. Interesting that you never replace any pins since it seems you've taken apart the whole Brompton (of many Bromptons that you've owned). If you never have changed them then I won't worry about them. Thank you.
Many had complained about Ciamillo B1 calipers spring not so springy . Is your ok ?
A much stronger spring is used in the 2024 models.
They are very responsive. I'll show you in a future video how they move nicely.
my best advice is stick with the originals because the lighter they are from stock the slower they react so you crash it only takes a sec or less to crash
The levers work the same as the original levers. The only difference is if it can last just as long. I am going to continue to test them and see how they do over time.
What happen to your carbon wheel?
They are on the bike.
Do you have a link for the cable ends please
I sanded my ends. The ones that fit are from Brompton so you can email and see if they can let you know if they sell them.
Hi, is B1 Ultra compatible with the Trigo headlight mount?
The brakes mount the same way but please email Ciamillodesigns since it depends on the aftermarket parts. I am not familiar with Trigo headlights.
