We love the old downtown areas. Usually some great finds in those areas. The local foods are always the best !! (as you 2 well know)

Thanks for taking away some of the fear I have for this port! We are not excursion people lol I want to wander around too! But the tourist areas never look super safe and all I see are bad reviews. It looks like you didn’t have to go far to get away from all of that. I’ll have to look for the place you guys are! Sounds delicious!

We have never had a problem in Nassau. Of course I'm a big guy so that's something. The tourist areas have some high pressure sales people but nothing malicious or anything like that has ever happened to us in Nassau. We really love this port.

Yeah me and my wife's going on carnival dream on the 25th out of Galveston yeah we got to go to Freeport NASA halfmoon cave and Freeport Bahamas

We've never been to Nassau or the Bahamas for that matter. I heard they were improving the port. There's an old fort there somewhere that was the first amphibious landing by what would become the U.S. Marine Corp during the Revolutionary War. Thanks for posting!

The Queen's staircase leads right up to the fort. Its a cool town. Nassau gets a bad rap We have enjoyed it everytime we've went
