Tavernier must have a clause in his contract saying that he must play if hes fit. Theres no way he should start at right back before Sterling and Kasanwirjo. In my opinion hes currently third choice in that position. Last night wasnt a good performance. Dressers is off form and our striking options are nil. How did we ever end up in a postion where weve only got one fit centre forward?
Gotten to the point now that he had a very average performance last night yet people are applauding it because we are so used to seeing an absolutely dire performance.
@@cutekanjii We were so poor against Lyon I was worrying the Lyon would score more than Dortmund got against Celtic. Rangers are dire. We need something to change very quickly.
Hiya Owen, we all know Tav is finished, he can't run, he can't defend, he's done. On a personal issue, I've had my operation and things are looking forward. I'm still in hospital and have experienced a very difficult few days. The pain is extreme and severe and I hope things improve soon.

It's so obvious now that goldson is gone how much he covered tav when he was caught out of position. Now souttar is filling that role as well as trying to build a solid defence with proper. It's dividing our defence leaving us very vulnerable to a counter. The pros no longer outweigh the cons. It's time to drop tav.

There's been .loads of players that have left the club,who where 1000 times better than him,why is he still at the club.

He has to be the worst first choice striker for a long period we have ever had. That's been over a year now he's been the first and most of the time ONLY choice we have. That's Clements biggest failure recruitment wise. Disgrace he hasn't addressed it

A wish they would relieve tav of the captaincy at least, maybe that'll take some weight of his back/shoulders, a know u say it's just st johnstone owen but rite now we can't afford 2 take anyone lightly WATP, also if someone filling in 4 tav during a game, he mite b covering where the player covering him should b, am with u on tav but until Clement shows a willingness 2 drop him, nothing will change, we don't have pace in oor team full stop, also remember if whoever comes in 4 tav has a stinker & is at fault 4 a defeat, u can't just bin tav then need him 2 come bak in if this happens, am a supporter a support the team, am a happy no, will Clement drop tav no, so we need 2 support, remember all players cover 4 each other if there oot of position, try not judging tav in every game, ure beating a drum about tav & as a say, am no fan of tav either but no good 4 ure health bashing him every game, always watch & like, do a frozen 4 a couple of weeks & let it go, let it go 😂 WATP
It is a joke, we are an absolute laughing stock of a team when it comes to the never ending saga that is James Tavernier. It would be bad enough of you swapped Callum McGregor's medal tally with his but when it is what it is, it is ridiculous he is untouchable like he's the greatest ever Rangers player to ever live and is entitled to special treatment. There is literally no other football team at pro level top league in every country, that would keep him in their team and make a BIG deal about this captaincy thing as if its something a lot more vital than it really is. It's just an excuse.
You seen him go off on thurdsay night in the 2nd half and we actually improved. The defence looked better, so is Clement and the rest of Tavs sycophants that live to serve him, really saying we can cops vs Lyon but NOT against the worst team in the league, St Johnstone who celtic beat 7-0 at their own ground. What doess Tavernier literally do that we cant cope without? His pointing every once in a while nobody takes any notice of him and doesn't put it where he points...? His dreadful corners...?

We are a "young team" says the 33yo full back/winger the position that ages the fastest. Are we a young team? Start with Butland... over 30. Proper what 29 30? Souttar same. Himself 32, Cerny whats he 28? Dessers 30. Rest are early 20s or so. Not like we have 3 or 4 teenagers playing. Most teams we play especially in europe all have 21yos in them that's not young, that's the beginning of your prime in football. Especially his position the peak is 23 24. The average age of the team is normal maybe a bit above average actually. It's down from last seasons squad of course but just because it's a younger team than last season doesn't mean it's a young team compared to the rest of the EL or even the SPFL.
He talks a lot of always the same has "we are trying really hard" I personally don't see him trying really hard.
