Opeth - "Reverie/Harlequin Forest" (Live in Los Angeles 10-24-15)

- Opeth performing Reverie/Harlequin Forest live from their 25th Anniversary Tour at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, CA (Night 1 of 2) on October 24, 2015. This was shot with a Sony Cyber-shot HX50V. Because the stage at the venue is WAY too low and/or the seats aren't on enough of a slope, the sight-lines are terrible. I shouldn't have had such an obstructed view in a seated theater, but that's what I had to deal with.

Nice Alister Crowley T shirt makes me wonder what would happen if Opeth were to do a session at Boleskine house now that's it being restored & close to finished if it's not already finished. . That would be something to see & hear. This may not be the best venue in this clip but the band is as tight as ever & holy hell whenever they get to the dual leads it's absolutely haunting how clean they play. Peter was a great player in his style & Fredrik was the perfect guy to take his place . At least this performance didn't have the equipment failures they had at The Royal Albert Hall & that was a hell of great version of this track. Thanks for sharing any Opeth performance is better than nothing. 💀🎸

The growls are still weak compared to the Deliverance era.
I saw Opeth 3 times back in the day and they never performed Deliverance live :'(

You do the growel for as long as Mikale has & see how your voice holds up , of course he's eventually gonna have to slow it down or stop less he does damage to to point he can't do it as he did years ago if at all as he gets older.. I'm surprised with as many shows as they do he can still sing as well with his normal voice. Plus all this is Live & off a cell phone or Go Pro so you won't hear it as the audience is. He still has it & if it's imperative you hear him growel like the album i suggest you listen to that .
@@paullevine1813 There are COUNTLESS examples of people who has been growling live as long as Mikael or even more who still can do it well.
Aaron from MDB, for example, who has been doing it longer and does it better.
