It was golden 🏆
I just want a Jeanne spin-off where she’s finally appreciated as a character and not used as a plot device
Well if hellena taylor wasn’t just bluffing about the Jeanne spinoff in her Twitter video. this might actually be happening. Though she was bluffing about almost everything else so who knows. But it’s possible she would have known it was happening if they wanted her to do VA work on it.
And hopefully her own moveset separate from Cereza. Been tired of Jeanne being a pallet swap with harder to trigger witch time.
i remember that Kamiya wanted Bayonetta 2 having Jeanne as the Protagonist. And the fan reactions were similiar to Viola. lol
@@MarinetteDupainCheng564 see thats what i dont get about the reactions
@@gradycheesman3375 I think Bayonetta VA will be replaced by Viola VA. Its about passing the torch. Atsuko Tanaka to Miyuki Sawashiro. Then Questionable American localization passing the torch.
I love Viola don't get me wrong, but if Bayonetta 4 isn't about Cereza i wouldn't be hype for the game
Literally same
Yeah me too I didn't like the play style of viola I really hope they aren't planning to swap bayonetta for her
@@lunicanoir6297 Tag system
Agreed. Not only would there be a Cereza sized hole in my heart, but Viola's gameplay just wasn't as fun as Cereza's. It was a nice change of pace every now and then, but I need my traditional umbra witch gameplay as well.
@@johtojonny I think Viola became short hair bayonetta 2. Bayonetta 3 timeline happened between Bayonetta 1 and 2. She embraced Cereza and Bayonetta name. In bayonetta 2 she didnt explained why she cut her hair. Bayonetta 4 happens after bayonetta 2. Viola wasnt the new generation.
I hope that Viola will get her own spin off title. She could not only rescue both Luca and Cereza from hell but be implemented as some kind of "Multiverse mercenary". She could help bayonettas from all different dimensions and be a reoccurring (playable) Character in the main games.
I'd be perfectly fine with this
good idea, you convinced me it😍👍🏻maybe
@@johtojonny she still cereza raised by cereza, but progessive one. A satire of current culture. Cereza that tried to escape her fate and destiny.
I will not buy Bayonetta 4 if Bayonetta isn’t the main character.
Agreed! I'll drop the saga if Bayonetta isn't the main protagonist anymore. It will be a bye bye from me, one of the main reason for which I play is her and her carisma and uniqueness
@@bayobayo29 Agreed 💯
I won't buy it either tbh
@@bayobayo29 yes EXACTLY same here
@@bayobayo29 it wouldn’t even be called Bayonetta if she isn’t the main character. I hope Platinum games doesn’t destroy Bayonetta’s character.
Honestly a Viola game will have to have alot more work put in to make Viola a in-depth character because as it stands her character is a list of bullet points and I can factually say removing Viola from Bayo 3's story would at worst change nothing and at best make the story better.
And take away the confusing Faerie plot they randomly added in that didn’t make much sense 😅
And revamp her playstyle because I do not want to have to continuously Royal Guard all the time.
Viola is the classical character that the Japanese add to make the product "more relatable" with a certain section of the audience (Westerners, in this case).
Super Robot anime were directed at children, so most of them had one or more child character in there somewherere, even if they don't have any business with the story and they clash with the typical "war against aliens" plot that these shows tend to have.
To add on to your theory of why it would be necessary for Viola to go to Pure Cereza's world, it would be because the position of Arch Eve is apparently important in "binding" a universe to existence (according to what Singularity says at various points, it is killing and absorbing the power of Arch Eves that actually enables him to break down whole universes, as said universes just start falling apart once he does so). So since Pure Cereza's world currently lacked an Arch Eve (and Viola's home world got hers back presumably), Viola needed to take on the role to help stabilize it. Though of course that raises the question of why Jeanne couldn't (perhaps like Cairo Bayonetta, she just didn't want it). Perhaps the need for a human to bind a given universe is related to Aesir no longer fulfilling that role? Singularity is even noted to regard Arch Eve Origin Bayonetta as a symbol of the entire World of Chaos itself.
It may also be that only Bayonetta's and in some cases Jeanne could be arch-eves, since they're Umbra witches, the Eyes of the World no longer exist, and so the fate o each world is upon humans, but still, the representatives of the Left Eye still exist: Bayonetta and Jeanne (in some cases Rosa), and Viola as a witch in training. I believe Luka was set as the Arch Adam, since Lumen Sages no longer exist, but the closest person to Bayonetta that also is a foil in energy is Luka. I don't know, it's a little theory.
In other topics, I really like that the villain is a human, and Loptr warned of it in Bayonetta 2, since humans now have the full capacity to define fate with "their own eyes" one ambitious human, started to play God, and he almost succeeded.
I think they need to do a little prequel game. Even an indie Metroid style game starring Jeanne showing the events of what she did while bayonetta was sleeping at the bottom of the lake.
I still want to see a Bayonetta use the lumen part of her birth not just the Umbra part it would be cool to see
We did get a glimpse of this when we climaxed the Arch-Pyromunculus.
@@anastasiahernandez6575 that ring right I was thinking the same thing
@@anastasiahernandez6575 arch-pyromunculus?
I think they are doing the whole devil may cry thing 🤦🏽♂️ which Nero slowly threw out Dante from the main character role. I personally don’t think they should give Bayonetta that treatment 😞
I don't wanna see it either
@@johtojonny yeah!! Welp they better not
Calling it now, Bayonetta 4 is gonna have one of the random obscure alternate dimension Bayos from the fight on the moon. So obscure it's gonna catch everyone off guard and make the internet blow up making Bayonetta 3 the culprit of everyone's despair once again
Please, i cant take a bayonetta game with Viola as the MC, her fighting style and witch time feels horrible to use, they would have to overhaul it and get rid of the parry and replace it with a dodge witch time for me to want to play her.
Even with that though we'd be going from an insanely unique character to a caricature you can find in any other media. I'm not down for it tbh
@@johtojonny Part of what makes Bayonetta so good is how Free she is, she always looks sexy and awesome no matter the situation, I couldn't imagine Viola ever being like that, the whole vibe of the game would change completely.
Oh my god same!
I recently played as Viola again and I still dislike her fighting style aka blocking is a pain just to activate witch time… at the end Viola feels like a chore to play. I will definitely NOT buy Bayo 4 if she is the main protagonist aka give me back my sassy witch Cereza/Bayonetta
I think we're probably gonna get the Cereza that appears in the Old Picture Book and Bayonetta 4 is going to be heavily focused on the Fae realm.
At the end of the secret chapter a voice tells Cereza to go to "Avalon Forest" and in the game bios, Lukaon the King of Faeries was born in Avalon Forest. And the chapter also ends with the shadowy figures that stalk her having glowing red eyes akin to Strider's.
With Lukaon merging with the other Lukas across the multiverse into the one that went into hell with Pure Cereza, the throne should be empty. And Viola, even though she's his daughter from another multiverse/timeline, might have a legitimate claim to the throne with how potent her Faerie powers are.
So I think the next game is going to feature Viola and Picture Book Cereza as somewhat dual protagonista. That way we keep the icon that is Cereza and Viola can show just how much she's grown as Bayonetta.
Helena Taylor Said in one of her videos that they want to make a spin off with Jeanne
She also said she was offered $4k for her role in Bayo 3, so she's not exactly a reliable source of information on Bayonetta things.
@@silentcalling she technically didnt lie about the pay, she just left out a mountain of information that incriminates her.
@@mostcreative3680 Lying by omission is still lying. She deliberately misstated the facts of the scenario to portray herself as a helpless victim to corporate greed.
@@silentcalling okay but it benefits her in no way to lie about a potential Jeanne spin off which was the point. Regardless of her morals that is still potentially true.
@@mostcreative3680 There is no way she would know anything about a spin off. Voice actors aren’t told these kind of things. They only know once they are asked to come back to do the roll. They aren’t usually kept in the loop and I’m pretty sure she wasn’t either
I really do like Viola's character but she's in a werid spot to me when it comes to taking over the mantel as main character. For one, Viola lacks any of the sex appeal of Bayonetta, i know someone will probably argue "that doesn't matter" but i beg to differ. Sex appeal is huge part of Bayonetta, the series is well know for it's overtop scenes that mix action and arousal (like the gag of Bayonetta loosing all her clothes before her outfit is reveled) even for Bayonetta as a character, she KNOWS she's a bad bitch and she owns it, that's what makes her such a fun character she's badass and sexy. Viola's character doesn't seem to to revolve around her sexyness, she doesn't dance to summon demons (in fact the one time she did dance near the end, it looked kinda awkward and i don't mean the animation of the dance i mean Viola dancing in general, knowing she's into to punk and rock it doesn't seem she'd dance like that) she's still seems to be learning to be an umbra witch unlike Bayonetta who was already a master, and she's more clumsy and goofy than Bayonetta. I'm not saying these character traits of hers are bad or i want her to be a copy of Bayonetta, I'm glad she's her own character but I'm not quite sure Viola can hold up the status of being the next Bayonetta.
Making her more attractive would be a good start, that punk make up is too much for me lol
Yeah I think Viola is great as a side character but replacing Cereza is honestly impossible for any character
I'm sure the game will be fun either way, but I'm thinking and thinking and hoping that both Cereza and Viola will be in the next game
Yes I would love that. Cereza and a more trained Viola
I hope Jeanne trains her
I hope they bring back Cereza in some respect. I don't care how they would do it.
Same
Told you she can't return; she can be mentioned only.
@@MisterPanda1989 with multiverse BS and the poor narrative building of platinum games I find it hard to believe it's an impossibility with enough backlash.
@@MisterPanda1989 Even if this one can’t they can still go back to the original one we was following since she should still be alive
@@ROT695 Jeanne may remain dead or missing in the sequel... she disappeared and vanished permanently after she helped Cereza punch Singularity's 2nd phase - Singularity Balance... Cereza shattered into crimson pieces after dancing in the credits as she was dragged into Inferno. Next, she had to fight Viola and she passed it down to her and dissappeared. Cereza and Jeanne can only be mentioned in the next generation of Bayonetta game as Viola. Not to mention Avengers Infinity War...
I cannot believe people are still thinking that Bayonetta/Cereza is gone for good and that Viola is the new face of the franchise/main protagonist from here on out. You have to at least give Platinum and Kamiya more credit than this in that they know this franchise would dissolve into oblivion if Bayonetta/Cereza isn't the face of the franchise anymore! They may not be the best at storytelling and narrative, but this is just pure common sense imo. They have to be ridiculously dumb to the point of near-zero brain cells to not realize this!
Also, I don't think I need to explain how Bayonetta already died once and was brought back. Jeanne died once and was brought back, actually twice if you count the final battle of this game. So the fact that Cereza went to Inferno the same Jeanne did in 2, well......that should already be enough! And with Luka, who was very much alive when he descended with her, is using his power to protect her soul from being consumed so that's even more evidence that she's not even close to being gone for good! If they really wanted to get rid of Bayonetta/Cereza, then none of the other universe's Bayonettas would've been revived and they would've had Singularity make Cereza explode into red glass like all the others and be done with it!
The sole reason Cereza passed on the name "Bayonetta" to Viola is because she knows her particular universe will be left vacant and unprotected without her and so she simply is telling Viola to fight and protect her universe in her place. This is the reason Rodin brought her back to Cereza's universe. And the name "Bayonetta" is known to all of Paradiso and Inferno so in order to keep the order and stability in tact in her universe, the name "Bayonetta" lives on this way. And a bonus is giving a confidence boost to Viola to help stand on her own two feet. I mean, she is her daughter after all.
I personally think "To Be Continued.....in the new generation" means Bayonetta 4 won't be made until the Switch successor is made, which hopefully will at least be on par or close enough to the PS5's quality. They know that the Switch can no longer withstand the contents of this game, I mean this game pushed the limits of the Switch to its absolute brink. They know they can't make the next game on the Switch!
Agreeed!
I think if there're another part , Viola will go to Inferno world to save her parents, maybe her aunt, jeanne also.
Jeanne is alive... again. if you look at Jeanne helping Baoynetta against Singurlarity, you can see that Jeanne still has her Umbra Watch.
If Viola is the main character I won't be playing it.
I saw these details, I imagined two things: B-0 merged with B-origin because B-0's bayonetta was the only one that didn't reappear in the final fight, it was the original bayonetta relived those events from the beginning. or the second case after defeating dark bayonetta, the multiverse is restored and the viola at the end is the one from B-origins which I think is this case.
a nice detail is that the viola's imagination in this becomes real. she imagined her father from another dimension giving her a strawberry candy and her alternate self following in her footsteps.
What if Pure Bayonetta becomes madama Butterfly after her soul is protected by Arch Adam Origin? That would explain every reason she helps every bayonetta, and why they have an odd relationship.
While I don't think this is the case, I do think that would be hilarious if proven true
Given that 3 kinda forced her in without much thought. A game focused on her could potentially help, but they'll have to balance her clumsiness and not go overboard. I'm honestly hoping for small timeskip with her more mature for 4
That's what i was thinking too
I'd need Viola to be more competent and confident to be a centre stage character. Honestly if we say that there was the most Cereza, a medium amount of Viola and a bit of Jeanne, I'd like a game where we have a lot of Jeanne, a medium amount of Viola and a bit of Cereza. It could be a side game. Bayonetta 3.5. And then resolution of that game could lead us to Cereza centric game.
If Viola were to be the main character two things would have to be done.
1) Bayonetta is a story about confident and capable woman. Viola here is still a bit of a bumbling teenager. So a small time skip where she grows would be needed.
2) If we wait a couple years for a new game and it's Viola's story but there is a chance for a next game in a similarly short time span people might accept it. But if it takes 8 years to get a new game and it does not have enough Cereza people will riot. People can probably wait a bit for Cereza but if it's too long they will not be happy.
That would be the equivalent to Jar Jar replacing Anakin as the protagonist in Episode 4
🤣
I bet Bayonetta 4 will be like DMC4. Half game will be Viola and half about return of Cereza.
The series is actually dead to me if I ever have to play Viola as a main character of any game. I hate her so damn much.
I don't hate her BUT I will hate her if they really choose to shove her down out throats in place of Cereza
If Cereza is not the main character I'm not buying bayonetta 4
I don't like Viola character and really really i don't want to see a new Bayonetta game without Cereza, for me the most tedious parts in the game are Viola missions, so let's wait to see what comes with the next game.
It wouldn't be Bayonetta without Bayonetta
My theory is something similar to DMC 4/5,
Similar to Viola, Nero wasn't as loved by the fan base as Dante/Bayo when they were introduced as successors, so I think we might get a game or two with them both as Protagonists before Viola becomes the "new true Bayonetta".
No i would not buy. Viola is just a terribly written character with a really overused character trope or cliche at this point; and the only good quality she has is her fairy(faerie?) form. Some of the staples of the series is wicked weave attacks and enochian chants. So if worse comes to worse and she is the main protagonist, there better be some creative things to make up for her not having those.
Sounds like someone is just mad at everything platinum releases
@@vice1157 i wouldn't say that. I do really like a lot of the games platinum has done before. I just don't like viola. She's more of a jack cayman universe character.
@@vice1157Oh, look...a Viola defender, my favorite!
I would honestly be ok with it if they changed her combat to use the dodge for witch time. The parry is so clunky and hard to execute, and it really ruins the flow of the combat.
It’s not like Bayo’s dodge witch time is super easy to execute. It feels great and you did need to have some skill with timing it properly. It’s just Viola’s combat was so much less enjoyable to play.
How about next time they actually let kamiya direct the game and not some fan.
Can’t stand Viola personally, but regardless if I liked her or not Cereza is Bayonetta and ultimately the star of the show. If she is not the main character I am out, it supremely annoyed me Dante took the back seat in DMC 4… these main characters/personalities are a big part of what made the games what they are and without them in the lead roles I just really have no interest. Adding new character that you can also play as is cool, but should never take over in my opinion
On a power scale sort of thing, I think Viola makes sense to take the reins of the series. Pure Cereza is the strongest Bayonetta and we have seen her doing peak Umbran Witch shenanigans. There is no more room to grow. Going to follow other Bayonettas would feel like a downgrade. Viola is a new path forward given her lineage. Sure, she is going to be weaker, but her potential far surpasses any variant of Cereza.
As much as I dislike Viola and love Bayonetta I have to admit this is true. I think we have reached peak Cereza and it would be redundant to keep her as the main character.
Idk I'm totally down for just playing other bayos going about their business and expanding the types of angels and demons
I fully understand that some players do not mesh with her comic relief Luka vibe. I don't think Platinum would focus on that aspect of her in Bayo 4. Given time maturing and proper training from Jeanne, I think Viola will be different. Who knows, maybe she'll split airtime with Jeanne so players can have both.
I disagree actually. Bayonetta is kinda like DragonBall Z in the sense that they can ALWAYS find ways to go bigger and badder. We saw Bayonetta LOSE repeatedly in 2 and 3. I think they can do better and find ways to power scale her even higher.
Matter fact I think they SHOULD because she deserves it. I can definitely see her gaining up to at LEAST galactic power
But we haven't seen Bayo use ANY lumen abilities non notha nothing that is still out there
I like viola just want her to be used correctly and not as annoying. Jeanne needs some love too.
Viola is more "nintendo-like character" si maybe her own series
I notice one thing! So Rodin actually visit hell just to take Pure Cereza's glasses and give it to Viola? or Viola made new glasses identical to Cereza's, but I dont think so!
can't wait to find out in about 8 years.
💀
If they made this with a "To Be Continued" ending, I think they already have the go ahead from Nintendo to make more games. Not to mention the alleged Jeanne spin off and possible Bayo 0 if the secret level is hinting at that.
I'm cool with Viola taking over since it will still be a Bayonetta game, which means it'll be dripping with style and have some of the best combat you can find. This means I'd also be totally fine with another game with Cereza, or a Jeanne spinoff game. As long as it's over-the-top the way P* like it and has the series amazing combat, I'm down for whatever they cook up.
Thank u
If she really does become the full on bayonetta main character then, yeah, sales are gonna tank. They need a DMC 5 like game to make her come into her own. She just doesn't have the charisma on her own to be a main character right now. Especially since she's a widely used archetype at the moment, she needs something that sets her apart. I like her character and she has huge potential to be great, even if I despise playing as her in 3, she just needs to come into her own.
Jaunne game would be cool. Would make up for how little impact and customization she had in 3. In 3 she basically didn't matter and her role easily coulda been replaced with anyone else.
Cereza does inevitably need to make a return for the future sales of the series or else its gonna suck for platinum. Cereza is just too unique of a protagonist to just *stop using* at this point without just... not making more bayonetta games anymore. She's a breath of fresh air in a time of "unique" protagonists who are just overly used archetypes. We *need* more protagonists like Cereza and removing her from the list of truly unique protagonists would ruin a lot of the appeal the series had.
I love Viola but a game where I have play as her completely through? Nooooope.
I'm pretty sure that Cereza Bayonetta can come back as playable character just more as of supporting player character. To help Viola when she really needs it. Also all the alternate Bayonettas we saw on screen are probably dead. While the Bayonettas we didn't see on screen are still alive. What there are infinite universes & probably not all of them got destroyed.
I better not be playing as Viola in bayo 4 as the main character. I like her but GOD! I do not care about playing her character. I hope at least Viola goes to hell and gets her back or something like Bayonetta did with Jeanne in game 2.
It’s not Bayonetta if Bayonetta isn’t in it. Now I’d be open to trying but it don’t feel right without bayonetta.
I like how detailed you have looked into the Bayonetta 3 lore so far. However, you seem to have not read the description for Dark Eve. She was the Bayonetta of the Alphaverse whose consciousness merged with the darkness of other Bayonettas slain. She is said merely to wander the Multiverse slaughtering everything in her wake. However, it is likely that Pure Cereza was added to the collective upon her death and managed to wrestle control in her last moments to bestow the Bayonetta name onto Viola. I highly doubt this was part of a test. More like something that needed to be done to fully set things right.
You should make a video about the missing infernal demons and how the gameplay would turn out to be for then. Casue so far in the game I'm seeing infernal demons that didn't make a return for B3. Like Queen Sheba for example
No please! We don’t need viola 😭
Viola may have the title of Bayonetta, but I'm not gonna kneel to her, even if she becomes a full-fledged Umbra Witch and be taunted by Viola defenders!!!! I have no intention of buying Bayonetta 4 anytime in the future, and to guilt trip me into buying the game and giving Viola a chance will be out of the question!!!
I'm right there with ya
@@johtojonnyThank you for the agreement, and to spare myself the trauma of replaying Bayonetta 3 and seeing that God-forsaken ending, I sold the game along with Bayonetta Origins. I said three simple words as a vow to never play future Bayonetta games, now that the Bayonetta franchise is all about Viola, and those three words are "No More Bayonetta".
2:24 One more detail here is that her scarf looks similar to Luka's from Bayonetta 1
I think it's supposed to be his scarf
I just want to see Jeanne and Bayonetta back. I don't really care about the rest.
As a fan who bought 20 copies of standard edition and 5 copies of Trinity Masqurade edition to give friends present, I am boycotting Bayo 4 if Cereza is not in it.
DAYUMN I could use that kinda money ngl 😭
Bayonetta needs Cereza as a main character. Viola was not the best addition to the game. Bayonetta 4 needs to be a Cereza game!
Answer- no
I will not buy Bayonetta 4 unless Cereza is playable, I would rather have nothing!
Not a fan of her 😭 Maybe cause she's new and hard for me to get accustomed to her weapons and such but gosh I can't use her
After discovering the hidden chapter with the old picture book that shows teen Cereza I have a feeling there will be a Bayonetta DLC (Bayonetta 0) that shows how she got her start and her earlier childhood as we learn more about the traditions of the Umbran witches which I'm really interested in.
As for a Bayonetta game WITHOUT Cereza and instead Viola?....er.....unless they give her a decent wardrobe and she is more "milfy" then maybe....but now that "Bayonetta" has become sort of a title and not just a name that means we could meet other descendants of Cereza in the future and with the MultiVerse being a thing we could explore a new Cereza story. The French Cereza who is like a Phantom Thief would definitely be an interesting story to explore to see how she and her mother ended up as thieves and how their relationship was while being closer together
I'm surprised no one is talking about the secret chapter. It is an entirely different stylized section of the game. Too much effort for it to be one note. It could be a DLC teaser or maybe even a teaser for a spin off. Whichever, it appears that Platinum is going to build upon the fae plot they added in. Appreciate that at least.
I think it would be cool if Bayonetta became a demon in Inferno and Viola was able to make a contract with her, ala Madama Butterfly
I’m sorry but I HATED Viola and found her chapters so dreadful to play. I really hope she doesn’t replace Cereza, that would be insulting.
If there even will be a bayonetta 4…
The franchise can go in so may directions now but I do know that Cereza needs to return. I feel like we could get Bayo 2 plot where Viola decides to travel to Inferno and retrieve Bayo and Luka. I would hate it if they did this but it would be dummer to just leave Bayonetta dead for good.
Having it so the characters actually died felt so off to me. The whole series has had many fake out deaths where a character comes back in some unexpected crazy way like how you thought Luka was dead in the first one only for him to come shooting back attached to a rocket 😂
This game didn’t really have that unless you count magical Luka reviving Luka but that part of the plot was just confusing 😅
Agreed. Cereza needs to make a return 100%
There were so many storyline issues in this game.
with no.1 - Luka being a mystical fairy. lol
Wait theres issues in the storyline? on this game? You say that like 1 and 2 dont already have issues, hell you cant even understand the storyline.
I will still buy Bayonetta 4 no matter who the protagonist is, Cereza or Viola.
Exactly im not about stop playing a game all because they change the protagonist
In all honestly since alot of people didn't like how Viola played and still don't like the ending so I don't think she's at the level yet to carry her own game as the mc maybe dlc or spin off and not a mainline entry. she needs more time at least one more game to get people to like her and refine her gameplay then maybe she could star in a leading role.
Viola don't deserve the name! She don't look like Bayo!🤷♀
I hear you, and there's no way, no how, that I'm going to call Viola Bayonetta (she's still a clumsy, stupid, reckless and undisciplined brat) , let alone accepting her as the so-called new protagonist for future titles! I WILL NOT be guilt tripped into buying the next Bayonetta game, regardless of how promising it will be, and I'll be damned if I have to play as some incompetent and untrained bitch!
2:30 if Bayonetta 4 main protagonist is just Viola, not Bayonetta, i will refuse to buy the game, i play the franchise for Bayonetta, not this cringe generation Z character.
Listen, I'd just be happy with them bringing Gomorrah back, but that's just my bias towards badass dragons speaking.
But being serious, I honestly don't know how I should feel about Viola as the New MC, if she really does take the reins for 4. Cereza was unique, a 1 in a million girl that you could really look up to. Viola looks like the type of girl I'd find at least 10 of walking through town. While I don't mind this, it just feels less unique. Hell, even Nero felt more Unique than Viola, but I'm possibly just saying that since DMC4 was my first DMC. If they make Viola the Protagonist, they need to adjust her moveset, make dodging activate witch time, and make sure Gomorrah comes back, that's the most important thing 100% definite.
But I'd prefer Cereza and Luka to come back, that ending made me cry just due to how we may never see them again, and that saddens me.
I don't like Viola tho... I like Cereza better...
I like Viola but Cereza is the best video game character ever imo she should never be let go
If by some chance we do get a Bayonetta 4(which I don’t think we really need one), and Viola is the main character, they would need to rework her gameplay HEAVILY. She’s can be fun to play in Bayo 3. Sometimes. But in comparison to the actual Bayonetta, she’s very limited in what she brings to combat. She feels kind of restrictive unlike Bayo. All she has is her sword, her explosive darts, and Cheshire. They would need to make her feel more loose and give her like, 5 extra weapons to play around with.
I hate viola so much and I will never see her as Bayonetta. If she becomes the main character further on I won’t support the series.
I want to see a Jeanne Game, but if Viola has her own Game , I would buy it and play it. I need more practice !
Yes
I'd buy the forth one because 1. Hideki Kamiya said years ago there will be more bayonetta games, up to 9, to be exact, and 2. It will give us a chance to know more and Viola.
honestly i don't think any of tbe Bayos were brought back
I have a problem, I played Bayo 3 on Casual mode, just to experience the story first, and through all the chapters I always got clear medals, but now that I want to play again in Standar mode, all the medals I get are stone and is infurating. Even in the witch trials I get platinum, gold or silver medals!!!!! Please help
Read through the book tutorials in the game! Practice "dodge offset' as well as any other special features you see that you can use to your advantage
1:04 are they truly dead? i got confused in this part
In a way. You should watch my other video where I explain that. I liked it in the pinned comment here and at the end of this video
I am sure Viola will grow stronger in the next Bayonetta game, and i don´t think they will make her into a more powerful being than Cereza herself. that would be a little too much.
But i always saw the Bayonetta franchise, as Hideki Kamiya´s wish to continue the Devil May Cry series, in a way he wanted it to be.
I mean take a look at Bayonetta 3, Kamiya was still part of the story concept, it shares some similiarities with Devil May Cry 5:
Dante/Bayonetta getting defeated by the main villian Urizen/Singurlarity, Dante and Vergil/Bayonetta and Luka are in Hell/Inferno, and leaving Nero/Viola behind to continue their Legacy.
Not that is a bad thing to me, i kinda like how Kamiya/Platinum Games respect the work in DMC5.
Yes, I would buy it since I love the series
me too, i would like to give Viola a fair chance.
You know? As someone who has not finished the game yet seeing titles like these can be considered spoiler, you should have waited at least a few months because not everyone can finish the game in one week for many reasons.
Personally I think that a Bayonetta 4 featuring a more powerful and experienced Viola would be badass
Another great content Jonny.
For me I'll still buy it.
I remember the time when DMC4 came out people hated it because Nero is the main protagonist but for me I really love it. And they made him so cool on DMC5.
Now for Viola she needs to have a new look with much improved moves.
Seriously her moves on Bayonetta 3 is sub-par and not appealing. Parry mechanic with witch time is very hard to pull off and most gamers use the dodge button instead. It sould be impove like what Royal Guard of Dante in DMC5 was made which is very rewarding.
Overall they still need to put Bayonetta as a side character like what DMC series did to Dante in DMC4 and DMC5
No
idc the the franchise i hate when main characters change in everything
I don’t mind as long as there is an actual build up to it. If they built up to the next game having you play as Jeanne I wouldn’t mind but it’s the fact they decided to make a completely new character that they want you to love that doesn’t fit with me. I’ve never understood when games makes you play as a new character instead as a character you already like 😅
3:19 they are all dead
Come on dude. Putting spoilers in titles? Not everyone has finished the game for goodness sakes!
Hey umm. How about you don't put spoilers in your video titles less than 2 weeks after the game comes out. Your channel has been blocked thx.
nope
I totally would.
I don’t think they will remove the Bayonetta we know for viola. Remember platinum likes to f with the fan base. Now a game with viola ? Sure why not she’s fine as a character :)
Nope Viola is so annoying and so cringe.
I mean, technically Bayonetta will be in Bayonetta 4, but Viola is that Bayonetta. The most we could get From Cereza is a trip to hell or time travle shenanigans.
Ooooor have us play as another Cereza considering the multiverse and the Bayonetta we have been playing as before is still alive
Then they just actively threw their most famous ip into the trash
Yep agreed. If Cereza stays gone then they dug their own coffin
@@johtojonny i think the change is an okay thing. If Cereza does stay gone then, oh well, lets see how things go. Maybe Viola will do things better
@@vinjass why all because of a protagonist change dont yall think yall are doing too much alittle bit
Viola is overwhelmingly adorable so while I would miss Cereza I'd be happy to play as her dorky daughter.
Cool I like the idea of passing the torch and plus I would buy it anyway
Unfortunately, Jeanne stays dead and is gone for good in the next Bayonetta game and so is Cereza; they will be mentioned as a memories of a flashback...
Viola will be the new Bayonetta... DON'T GET ME WRONG!!
What makes you say?
@@johtojonny Cereza and Jeanne may be mentioned in the next generation of Bayonetta Game in the future as Viola...
Jeanne is still up in the air but Cereza is definitely not dead. Stuck in Inferno, yeah, but basically a way in the story to let her have a break from headlining. Bayo 2 proved you can go to Inferno and escape it. Cereza and Luka both had their physical bodies when dragged below. Rodin even confirms Luka is still alive, so that doubles down on Cereza being alive as well.
@@Serehful Hey, Jeanne is put to rest in peace and she can't return anymore and is gone for good, and so will Cereza. Just like characters who stayed dead, just like Iris of Megaman X4, Vision of Avengers. This is because Dark Eve may be the remnant of Bayonetta Cereza. After duel, Cereza's soul is put to rest, letting Viola take the role of the new Bayonetta. nothing else. It won't be like Bayonetta 2 in the next gen sequel. Duh!
@@MisterPanda1989 dark eve is not a remnant, she was there since the prologue. Read her description in the game.
If you watch my prequel video to this you'll see how Jeanne and the other arch eves as well as their timelines all got restored
I will be buy Bayonetta 4
I have a theory that Platinum wants to make a sequel to Metal Gear Rising. If that were the case the would be really interesting to have Metal Gear level of action with Bayonetta's abilities.
Would be cool for a spinoff with Viola but not mainline imo
Yes
