I take my dog with me in the car every mornimg and he knows to let down on the back seat beside my son. He's 90 lbs. If he was bouncing all over the car, he would trample 4 year old. I also fostered, trained and rehomed a poodle mix, a cocker spaniel, a cane corso, an aussie, a border colle/golden mix, a dachshund, a spanish waterdog and a border collie:) I've also adopted most of our farm animals. I took in 3 cats about to be put down and one that someone had left on the street almost freezing to death. How many animals have you helped, fostered and adopted? In Norway we don't have the need of shelters and we don't have street dogs:) I think your country has ALOT to learn from us....:)

When my mom was 8 months pregnant with me, she was driving home from work and a pick-up was in front of my mom's car at a stop light with a dog dangling off the side of the bed of the pick-up squirming and quickly became deceased in front of my mom. She tried honking, but the guy in the truck completely ignored her and everyone else who got out to help. It was just too late. My dad still remembers when she arrived home, 8 months pregnant, bawling, hormonal, and inconsolable. This happened 42 years ago. She's still traumatized. 💔

Been? 😅 I think I know this guy from years ago... If it is him, wouldn't surprise me, he absolutely adores his pets!! Absolutely. I saw him when his big dog died and he was a mess...it died when his neighbour was baby sitting so he could work away from home for 2 days!! He raced straight home when he got the call...a 4 hour drive. I think this is at the entrance to the pier on the bay and knowing him, he'll be taking his dogs with him (or maybe taking them to their owners because as far as I know, only his grown up kids have dogs now) but he'll have them with him so he can look after them. Most people who travel with their animals have them beside them so they don't have to leave them alone at home. So even if it's not the guy I know, this bloke has his pups with him because he loves them...not because he's cruel to them. Just wanted to give you a better perspective than just shooting from the hip, seeing a scary situation and just assuming the human involve is a lesser human being than yourself. We all make mistakes...but we don't all mean to be nasty. Just saying.

I know of a family who’s dog fell off the back of their Ute while still on leash. It hung itself and died.

yeah to everyone saying “he’s fine he’s in a harness” the rope isn’t some steel cable.. it’s a leash. It can snap. That dog isn’t safe. Plus it can get flung around when the ride gets bumpy and get hurt. The harness isn’t to solve this problem the harness was probably put on in general as safety so they are more secure and have less a chance of falling out and hitting the ground.

This isn’t safe nor is this the safest it can get. This guy can make the box more secure, bigger, and maybe a lid. If that’s not possible then it’s not necessary to have your dogs out when your riding. It’s not worth having your animals at risk.

I think I know this guy from years ago... If it is him, wouldn't surprise me, he absolutely adores his pets!! Absolutely. I saw him when his big dog died and he was a mess...it died when his neighbour was baby sitting so he could work away from home for 2 days!! He raced straight home when he got the call...a 4 hour drive.
I think this is at the entrance to the pier on the bay and knowing him, he'll be taking his dogs with him (or maybe taking them to their owners because as far as I know, only his grown up kids have dogs now) but he'll have them with him so he can look after them.
Most people who travel with their animals have them beside them so they don't have to leave them alone at home.
So even if it's not the guy I know, this bloke has his pups with him because he loves them...not because he's cruel to them.
Just wanted to give you a better perspective than just shooting from the hip, seeing a scary situation and just assuming the human involve is a lesser human being than yourself.
We all make mistakes...but we don't all mean to be nasty.
