- I played ALOT of junkerqueen throughout the beta... Here's a simple yet advanced guide I put together that should give you a general idea of how to use every part of her kit and basically just how to play her. ENJOY :)

If you miss Gracie you can also retract it and if someone is in the way of the recall they take damage.
i like to stick it next to an ice blocked mei and then position myself so that when i retract it it goes through her once she’s out

If you know a team fight is coming in the next couple seconds I like to throw it behind where the enemy team will be BEFORE they appear. Easy way to hit a few targets at the beginning of the fight. Also if an enemy is behind cover you can throw it over the cover and call it back hitting them.
Yes, I don't think a lot of people appreciate this technique but it can be a big one. When I'm at a choke and know the enemy is coming, I'll actually throw the knife into a wall/floor behind them, wait for them to come around the corner and then recall it to hit a bunch of them with DoTs.

I found that playing her aggressive with a team that moved very aggressive with you works great
That’s the only way she works, if you have a passive team with flankers every fight it’s hard to sustain yourself.
she is great in open queue with 2 tanks or more.
@@Mugetsu2021 it is but even if your team flanks you’ll be ok if you have a healer on you 24/7 or even if a Moira just casually uses her heal ability
@@Moses4 hard to get a Moira to not act like a fucking dps the entire game and heal nobody and then proceed to blame the tank
I def cant wait to try her she actually fits all my catergories of what I like, Shotgun, Axe, a healing affect, and solid damage
as a ex reaper main, i await to rip and tear with the shotgun :)

I feel like the axe swing does so much damage though.

@@LoneVocalist Or you’re just bad at using the ult. I’ve gotten 5 people out of that ult and my team wiped them clean off the slate. Only thing that can make the ult worthless is when Kiriko uses Suzu after getting the debuff, provided they haven’t used it already.
Since the update, she's my go-to. I love her in your face attitude and playstyle. She WANTS to be in the middle of everything, and if you can get good swings and HoTs going, she's stupidly hard to nail down at times.
I love that her shotgun has a good choke on it to not punish mid-range encounters unlike Reaper who can only seem to broadside a barn.
also another tip, when you recall Gracie it melee's them mid flight. just though yall should know if you miss a big croud (somehow) you should recall if the knifes behind em.
People usually say I throw playing as JQ so i found this super helpful to be better for my teamates

Great tips. Mastering her knife throw makes things far more easy. Bit like fishing, good throw, good catch :p Her shout is an excellent tool for both charge after or escape. Don't hesitate to use it if it can save someone's ass.
after my 3 hours with Junker -Mommy- Queen i never realized you heal from axe swings, or that her melee did lasting damage. I'm glad i came here
I just realized you can heal from here melee and now that I do know that I'm gonna have fun

i love playing junker queen, she's sm fun!! sadly whenever i play her i feel like i get the worst teams lmao.. when i get a team that actually helps me i perform a lot better. so please, if you have a junker queen on your team, be a good teammate 😭😭

great combo i was using in the beta was throwing knife recall swing hammer then punch shout and shoot best way to get most self healing and not die you get this timing down you will be invincible

Bruh, I didnt know her base Melee gave the bleed proc. That's awsome
Only while Gracie is not on cooldown / thrown
So I figured two things out with her knife, if you threw it and you get put down to sleep you can actually still call your knife towards you which I did this before and I actually killed the person who put me to sleep.
Second thing I learned was that you can throw your knife and while in the middle of swinging your ax you can call your knife to you so you can pull them in and hit them with your swing if you do it fast enough I believe.
It works for being Earth Shattered and hit by Blizzard(frozen) too, kinda wild actually

do the bleed effects from different abilities stack?
Yes they do stack. So she can get a lot of bleed from enemies if she uses her melee and axe at the same time.
This is a beginner friendly guide, but there are some advanced techs that need to be discussed more.
I play on console so i without meaning to hold secondary so its a conscious thought not to hold its so Gracie can actually travel instead of boomeranging back immediately.
Yeah I learned that lesson first hand the other day. She got really mad at me.
You forgot that you can also hit players with the knife as you pull it back to you and can hit multiple people with it dealing damage over time and more healing
if you miss the recall damage is so little it's better to just have the knife in your hand for potential melees
@@yeatle I completely disagree if you can cleave it through a team then you can get a crap ton of self healing and will be doing decent damage to follow through with a carnage and heal even further

@@yeatle I do agree the damage is very minimal But I'm surprised none of the pros even know about pulling the knife through multiple people to maximize the healing, Im legit looking all over to see if anyone knows about this, what you want to do is through the knife behind them pull it back through at least 2 people preferably squishes, go for the melee or use carnage on anyone that's not the tank THAT'S how your supposed to engage with queen properly. (Yes I will admit even after using everything I said properly and knowing how to do it consistently and thoroughly it's still ass but it's waaaayy better then what I've seen people do with her).
She seems like she was supposed to be a dps. But they needed a tank

@@YellowSpaceMarine The lack of defensive abilities and focus on damaging opponents with dots makes her feel like she was supposed to be a beefier soldier 76 type character. More health and healing, but less dps shotgun damage dealer type thing

i have a great question. Do the bleeds stack or is it only 1 bleed at a time per enemy.
Each ability sets a different bleed status, with different damage rates and durations, so those can stack. The bleed effect from the same ability (only relevant for Jagged Blade, unless you’re playing with very reduced cooldowns) doesn’t stack with itself, it just refreshes the duration.

one lil thing you did mentioned is that her melee also heals you
Yup however in the occurrence that you melee but your blade is deployed she won’t heal off of that melee

General pro tip for the newer junker queens:
Don’t. Underestimate. Adrenaline.
Using ANYTHING but your primary fire will cause bleed which gives you healing overtime. Stack on 3 or even 2 people, you got a mercy healing you basically. This even applies to your ult bleed.
So get in there, stab everyone with your melee, throw in some ability spam on the supports, and show your teammates you don’t need a dps!
Also idk if they fixed this but with axe swing you can do a swing extension like reins hammer

Does the recall on Gracie count if an enemy happens to pass through its trajectory while boomeranging back?
Yes it will do damage and apply the debuff to anyone passing its trajectory on it's way back
@@alexjoshuaws so then you could potentially use it as a trap to guarantee the wound and thus self heal, just no hog pull
At least for now, people seem unassuming. So if you get a good knife on a widow and can follow up with a well timed axe + melee on knife retract they are dead. People don't expect to get nuked by a Junker Queen! So capitalize on the moment if you like playing her! :) Also I don't think she's even nearly as bad as people make it out to be. If she just got a bit of armor health/some bleed heal buff/slight damage increase I think she'd be meta. At least for lower ranks where you could punish people for playing out of position.
Sad to see Junkerqueen be places at low Tier Lists since beta, ye she git nerfed but her kit is insane, you can turn around games and carry if done correctly

@@alan_hyoke definitely my favorite character but yeah sometimes she feels like she has no role or is barely any help to the team. Someone commented about more players needing to learn her kit since she's still newish ( I agree) but I dont think people even want to at this point , JQ is rarely seen in any matches in my experience.
@@R008K they need to buff her range for her gun and she be better cuz right now her main gun dies no damage unless you on the enemy literally
@@alan_hyoke nah, her gun has enough range to chip a pharah down out of the sky in my experience. she definitely needs a buff on the self healing or some sort of way to provide some sort of value to the team. JQ just feels like an extra DPS that isn’t really able to absorb any damage without being pocketed by a support, she has no escape options if she’s in the enemy lines either.

Before ulting throw your knife on the ground, and pull it back through their team while ulting
not worth imo. it's better to try and hit someone also if you ult then you won't have the CD ready when you're behind them.
Yeah junker queen was nerfed but it’s only a matter of time before d va wipes your team with one button. Makes sense
If you're dying to dva ult you're out of position. I rarely ever die to her ult
