Those musky sure do get the heart pumping!! A beautiful musky to start the day! It's too bad you didn't land the other 2, but that's ok, because that's what musky fishing is all about! Nice video buddy!
No, when the water temperature gets to 80 and above I don’t fish for muskies. Alum Creek Lake will have dangerously high water temperatures this weekend! I usually try to find a creek with a spring or a river with cooler water temps.
Nice videos man. You seem to be knowledgeable on musky much more than myself. I have a question for ya...so I wanna get into musky fishing (Probably just trolling) I don't wanna get specialized gear quite yet just use what I have. So my question is would my catfish gear work?. Not so much rod and reel bc I know it can handle one but the hi viz line is my concern. Like are musky as they say line shy in your experience?. I figured maybe just tying a swivel with like 10 ft of heavy mono to try to use what I have before I invest into more specialized gear....im only 15 min from clearfork resivour so I like watching you catch then there too .thanks again
@@Dark30Outdoors well glad I didn't yell hey Kyle hahaa guy woulda been like uhhhh. We tried a few hrs no luck. Pulled rapala super shad raps and rapala magnum. Dad's pontoon has no speedometer so no clue how fast. Was just trying for the first time...caught a lot of grass though haha
Sounds good to me Matt! Takes planning and we need to get out before the "hot water period" sets in. Email me your phone number and maybe we can make it happen!

Thanks! They sure go wild when they get hooked!
What model boat are you running if you don't mind me asking? I like the simple layout. Great videos!
@@fishingmachine2652 thanks! It’s a Spectrum Avenger 14.5 foot deep v.
Bringing the boat to alum creek this weekend. Any tips on catching fish in this heat?

It is pretty awesome seeing that big Gator Muskie get airborne! Heartbreaker on the fish that came off. Those fish are in good shape.
Thanks! Yeah those jumps were great! Yeah, that second fish may have been a twin of the first. 👍

They aren’t usually line shy when trolling 3.5 - 4.0 mph. Heck we used to run Dacron back in the early nineties!
@@Dark30Outdoors thanks man. Maybe I'll see you on one of the lakes around...I'm from mansfield so about a hr from some of where you fish
I made it out to clearfork to musky fish...saw a boat that looks like yours dunno if it's you...Fri 14. I'm the only pontoon on the lake haha
@@BrandonPifher no I’m working today.

The main marina off Hollenback Road.
