hi bill !!! hope all is well... you got me started awhile back when i watched you detail the difco ballast cars and it got me going, as i just finished all 3 of mine. not a ton of detail, added kd 148's whiskers, the cars were the orange ns version, so i painted out the ns with scalecoat tcp-115 g&w orange, then added bprr decals and kept the numbers the same. mw was already on the sides of each car so that helped a bit. now just a fine coat of dullcote then some weathering to beat 'em up a bit !!! very cold here in wny last night, 44degrees, and like an idiot i left my kitchen window open and it was so cold in here it woke me up !!! look forward to your next video !! denny springville,ny

hi bill !! nice ops !!! aren't those white and orange cryo trans cars really nice !! my bprr has a shitload of the exact rail armn reefers but i only have 1 cryo trans !!! we have several shows coming up soon so i will buy some if available !!! hope all is well... i am running tonight for at least a couple of hours, mostly coal porters and a local or 2. currently stuck with the placement of an interlocking tower... this hobby is strange. just when we think a setting is done, something comes along to make you re-think what goes where, as i am sure you have experienced !!! i just love your hopper details !!! denny
Hey Denny good to hear from you. Rapido just came out with some really nice looking CryoTrans reefers. The newer style, with the reefer unit mounted to the car. Mine are the old school, using co2 for the refrigerant. Please correct me if I am wrong on any of this. And yes this hobby holds so much. After helping neighbors clean up from hurricane Helene today, I learned how to use the focus bracketing mode in OpenCamera. Have a good weekend - Bill

@@MyFingerLakesRailwayLayout bill... i checked the rapido reefers out and holy sh-- !! very nice, as usual, but i believe they won't be out for awhile as i saw "pre-order" everywhere. as stated, i have about 20 exactrail armn reefers, but i might buy a couple to fill-in the train. i particularly like the lineage and ontario northland versions, non-sound. well, its sunday and here she goes... church is over, gonna do some crappie fishing in a friends rather large pond ( 3-4 acres) and have a few brewskis while there, then hopefully a nice fish fry !!! my bills travel to baltimore tonight for what is the nationally telecast sunday night game... should be a good one !! detroit plays the seahawks as well today and i would like to watch that also. 11 years of football for me, 7 little league from 2nd to 8th grade, then high school ball. man, the game has changed so much.... oh, i just got an athearn genesis sd 70 acu in prlx livery and she is a real beauty !!! ex ns, which is patched out with black paint rather nicely. she will get some run time today over coffee and what hopefully will be a delicious crappie brunch/dinner with all the trimmins' !!! denny

Thanks Dan. The radius is: tight! That's why I use those short hoppers as buffer cars to get the long reefers in there. Take care!
