"no major glitches" is still the dumbest name anybody could have come up with for "no srm, no debug menu".
Yeah, I'm going to jump hundreds of meters in the air with some milk, create light arrows out of water and then bomb hover for a bit. No major glitches here!
no major glitches is just the umbrella we use for memory manipulating glitches (text overflow / srm). which are undeniably more “major” than everything else.
@@JakeZSR I know. Still the name is pretty dumb. Like all these other glitches aren't major. So you really disagree?
Maybe "no memory manipulation" would have been a better name.
@@4203105 i think they are def still "big glitches" but not major on the scale of TO/SRM. NMG is also convenient bc its a common name in other zelda games, so it's easily recognizable. "No Memory Manipulation" could def work but there's the issue of it being confusing for a new runner and also kinda conflicting with the "No Pointer Manipulation" ruleset that exists. I don't think a perfect name will ever exist but NMG is the best we have that's vague enough to fit.
@@JakeZSR I think it's more confusing for new runners and viewers to have a category named "no major glitches" that has these major glitches in it. Also I think in other Zelda's the major glitches are more on the level of the glitches that are still allowed in OOT and MM in this category, which makes it even more confusing.
But YMMV, I guess.
Pretty bad video. Wouldn't recommend to a friend.
