The way you can gracefully unbox the Mac and then the struggle with the mouse packaging was just such a funny juxtaposition 😅 I'm all for the MagSafe over USB-C simply for the simplicity of connecting and disconnecting. Plus they were all about the whole if you trip on the power cord, your laptop won't go flying thing in their ads back then so the USB-C seemed odd on a Mac power cord to me. Enjoy your beautiful new tech addition. I'll just be over here ordering RAM for my nearly 12 year old MacBook Pro.
