Dudu Abu I did this without any luck. I have many devices. They will only connect through a Xiaomi router but even then firmware updating is blocked. I have the same problem with my recently purchased WiFi range extender. It seems they are actively blocking new devices. Just like they did with the Yi cameras... :-(

Several times :-) as said, the wifi is strong and the cell phone itself is conneted to it without problems. But the app Mi Home is not able to find it, don´t know why.

As many people have commented here, if you bought a Chinese version you have to set the region to China to add it in app. My headache is that I have two robots in Canada, one is so called European version bought last year and Chinese one this year. Then I found there is no way to put two robots in the same region which means I have to switch region between Canada and China Mainland in order to find the MI home app. Then I start thinking if there is a place which is both kind of "European" and China. Yes, you got it, a very special region. After you switching to that region in app settings and then adding both robots to the app, the app will ask you to update the firmware of the European one. And if you switch back to Canada you will find the original one is offline. I guess the firmware is changed from EU version to CN one. You can also switch to that region if you feel it is safer than Mainland China.

I've had the same problem. My Wifi was WEP secured, apparently that's the issue. You'll need to update your WiFi to WPA, and after that the App recognized the Wifi as a local network

The app reflect there is no wifi connection. so i decided to remove the app and reloaded it. now i have issue with log in. i have reset and when i relog in it prompt me that the password is incorrect. anyone encounter this? desperately need help.

Followed the same - but problem is, that robots still links just blue (3x per secound). Although wireless-details are correct, 2.4Ghz, WPA2 and right password. Any idea? :(

My robot often created a wrong map of room. I have pretty big living room and dining room. It created more space than the rooms should be. Because of this it can not find the charging dock after cleaning. Any advice? Thank you!

Can't say that I trust anyone ,especially the Chinese with my info. so I deleted the app

If it still doesn't work, also reset the little guy. Make sure wi-fi connection is set to WPA/WPA2. Some people say it doesn't like WEP connection.

it seems like you logged in to your rooter network at the same step, but as i say then i get asked to log my phone into the rockrobo network

Buy a new camera first... there are many tutorials on RUclips for learning to use the zoom button on your camera or try to use "autofocus".

Yes, the router is needed as a "bridge" that connects the robot and app.

somewhere on Web I read that if you ticked Hong Kong as your area you would get the English language version. Could you see if that will work please?
I tried the HongKong option it showed the same features as Singapore option...

Yes, the trick is to ensure "connect to main land China". The app is now working, although many took many retry's.

I don't get how the robot joins your wifi network. does it have an Ethernet port on it that you have to initially connect it to for configuration?
Not physically connect but virtually through WiFi.
