That was a awesome edited video! Just to see Royce trying the do a “stand up” gave me some chills down my spine! I guess I’ll get my thrills by watching your videos of your daring adventures in SH! The 3 Amigos rock! Keep ‘em coming! 🤘😎
Great content guys, always love your vids. Every time I go do a new trail, like Pritchett Canyon or stuff at Sand Hollow I review your footage. Very informative and confidence building. That obstacle where you did the wheel stand, come in at an angle pointed more passenger and move more passenger as well. I videoed my my brother crawling it in the KRX with out slipping a tire. I think it’s the kind of thing that won’t happen if it’s off by a few inches.
Ya, it’s a tough obstacle and the sand changes it every time there’s a storm, or every time a Jeep or buggy on 40s pushes sand around at the bottom. Thanks for the support man
Merrill Moab 2 for the win. I take photos at Trail Hero, WEROCK, and Super crawl. They are the best right out of the box. They are spendy but last and are comfortable. I climb a loose rocky mnt in Phoenix 4 to 5 times a week as well.
Shoes I hike all over Yosemite mostly rock scrambling Columbia fairbanks low shoe. My wife e enjoys bought a pair after a season of chasing me to seven different Yosemite peaks, 3 kings canyon rock scrambles and one birthday trip to pinnacles National Park great shoe on sale for under $100 g straight to Columbia's online store. Side note I'm our groups mountain goat.
Great vid, and very clear audio! A few questions on the general. I have the same HCR long travel suspension on my 1000s: What CV's are you using, and are the Demon axles custom or off the shelf? My kit came with RCV axle bars and I had to source my own CV's. And what are the front and rear spring rates? My kit came with 250 front and rear. Too stiff for the front and too soft on the rear. I had to change the front to 200lb with 1/4 inch preload. I'm currently looking for a 300lb rate spring for the rear but not sure if that will be enough. I carry a spare tire and spare parts and camping gear. We are heading to the Arizona Peace Trail and the Grand Canyon in the fall.
Eric- check out Salomon’s Speedcross or Cross hike and Oboz Sawtooth. Of course I still fall- but it’s purely being uncoordinated!
Eric, take an old Rockzilla tire and make slippers out of it! You'll never slip again homie!
🤣🤣

The brand Saucony makes a shoe called the "gripper." The bottom of the shoe looks like the underside of an Octopus tentacle.
Thanks!

It’s not really our jam to go on long dirt road rides, but if we end up on any of those trails, we will try and record it!

Does the front windshield on the KRX create more dust on trails and dunes?
It’s vented at the bottom so it’s allows air to push through while still keeping air, sand, dirt out of your face
