    Hi Mike
Thanks for adding your touch. It makes a lot of sense. I have a 2020 American Coach Dream and I just carefully inspected the skylight and didn't like what I saw so I may be performing a preventive maintenance as well.

Nice job Mike, I'll probably be doing this here soon on my coach, thanks for a great example. I tend to go on the overkill side as well.

Nice job as usual Mike. What size screws did you use?

Thank you. If memory serves I used #6 stainless steel screws.

    Mike,
Great job building the frame... I am a little concerned on 2 fronts. Please share your thoughts. The first is Corrosion from the water maybe even salt if you get close to the ocean, is running down and under the Alum. frame. The frame is creating a pool for water to stand next to it. Did you use SS screws? I will have to replace my skylite on my Dynasty shortly and I will most likely use SS screws and large SS washers to cover more of the surface. I may even use SS plate but not as wide as you did and seal under it before putting it down.. Thanks for sharing what you did.

Jon, no worries with water pooling as I'm sure it will evaporate and each layer as well as under the aluminum frame has butyl caulking applies soon no chance of it getting under the frame. Yes, I used stainless steel fasteners.
      Thanks for watching.

Nice job! I would like to do mine this way, but I need to find the parts first. My skylight isn't square. Quinn

Many Monaco's use a squared off triangular shape as well. I would still use the same process even if mine was the other shape. I remember seeing the other Monaco's shaped skylight on several websites that I looked at when I was researching mine so I know they're available.
