Hardeep Singh Nijjar: RCMP arrest alleged Indian hitmen accused of killing BC Sikh leader

  • The suspected hitmen accused of shooting and killing Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar last June in B.C. have been arrested in Alberta and Ontario, according to a source familiar with the matter.
The RCMP took the Indian nationals into custody on Friday morning, almost a year after Nijjar was gunned down at the Guru Nanak Sikh Temple in Surrey, B.C.
The suspects entered Canada on student visas but may have been working at the direction of Indian intelligence when they shot Nijjar, the source said.
Last September, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau pointed the finger at the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming investigators were “pursuing credible allegations of a potential link” to Indian agents.
India denied it was responsible, and Trudeau’s accusations soured relations with Modi and set off a diplomatic feud that saw Ottawa and New Delhi expel each others’ envoys.

Nijjar was a murderer wanted for killing 6 people in Punjab, India.
Pining over him is like putting your arms around Bin Laden and embracing him as your brother too.
Remember the mass-murder of 329 people, 268 of whom were Canadians, by the Khalistanis when they bombed a flight out of Toronto's Pearson airport.
Those things are all too easily forgotten. Nobody was held accountable by the Canadian govt for that act - the worst act of terrorism in Canada's history - and of course shallow politicians never call for anyone to be held accountable. They only fret over their newly declared blood-brother, Hardeep Nijjar, who was wanted for murder before coming to Canada.
I personally don't think Canada should convert itself into a base of operations to attack another country, by importing so many foreigners from the other side of the world.
I don't see how this benefits Canadians at all. If you call yourself Canadian and see Canada as your homeland, then why would you be fighting to carve out a homeland for yourself elsewhere? The answer is that the current importation system is not creating more Canadians - it's just a form of Machine Politics which enables greedy politicians to import new sepoy mercenary voters in exchange for supporting their political causes elsewhere. This isn't the way a country's politicians are supposed to behave, it's the way that elites running an empire behave. And empires often wind up hollowed-out and burnt-out, with their hapless citizens forced to suffer in the aftermath.

For the investigation's sake, though, it would not have been released; so we don't know what it is. As for India no longer being a so-called "third world" country (and I presume you mean "developing country"), yes it is. I have been there. There's lots left to do before India can be called a developed country. By the way, Interpol issued two "red notices" against Nijjar at the Indian government's request. According to one of them, Nijjar was running a Sikh terrorist training camp near Mission, British Columbia. Yeah, pull the other one. Why hasn't _that_ ever been found? That is all for the inhabitants of the Subcontinent to work out among themselves. May they come up with a solution that satisfies everyone - every one of *_them,_* that is. There is, however, a caveat, and that would be the part of Murphy's law that says "If you try to please everybody, somebody won't like it."

I was merely pointing out that a government like India's will use resources (such as Interpol, in this case) that have been set up to do good in the world to do evil. Canadians dont have any Solid evidence. If Punjab wants a seperate nation ofcourse they can. But you look at the state of claimed Khalistan. The entite Indian state of Punjab if separated is only 1/3rd of Khalistan while 3/4 of the area lies in Pakistan only. That cuts half of Pakistan. So Khalistanis is oppressed by Paks in first place. Also if Punjab is created then the Baloch wont stay calm. They will separate and acquire the south. And the north is already fighting its border disputes between India China and Afghan.
Means Canadians are creating the whole put up story to restrict Indian trade links to the West. If Canadians could make Indians as terrorists or accusers , West would also rethink of Indian trade links.
Canadians are trapped by one Superpower I think coz they needs to expand its bilateral deals with Canada and Australia..
EU is now under heavy Russian influence.
    MiddleEast is tilting..
    China already surpassing.. all superpowers..
And they knows that Chinese got greater hold in Canada and EU.
So targetting their second economic rival... India.
But Time and Tide never waits for any Empires.
Even the holy Roman Empire dissintegrated after 500 years.

The inquiry, led by Justice Marie-Josée Hogue, provided a question-and-answer summary of its findings.
Here are the commissioner’s conclusions, as they appear in the report:
− Was there foreign interference targeting the 2019 and 2021 general elections?
Yes. I have no difficulty concluding that there was.
− Did foreign interference undermine the integrity of the electoral system itself?
No. The administration of the elections was sound.
− Did foreign interference impact which party came into power in 2019 or 2021?
    No, it did not.
− Did foreign interference impact any election results at a riding level?
This is a more difficult question to answer. It is possible that results in a small number of ridings were affected, but this cannot be said with certainty.
− Did foreign interference nevertheless impact the broader electoral ecosystem?
It did. Regardless of impact on specific election results, all foreign interference impacts the right of Canadians to have their electoral processes and democratic institutions free from covert influence, and their right to vote freely and in an informed manner.
− Did foreign interference undermine public confidence in Canadian Democracy?
Regrettably, the answer is yes. This is perhaps the greatest harm Canada has suffered as a result of foreign interference.
− Did foreign interference impact everyone equally?
It did not. The means and methods of foreign interference harm diaspora communities in Canada in distinct ways. Their experiences must not be ignored, and specific attention shall be given to them
This report by The Canadian Press was first published May 3, 2024.

Just by arresting random kids from Punjab India and making stories that they report directly to Indian government is foolish..
Get all the facts and evidences first.
If they are gangsters from Punjab that means Nijjar has other ties with criminals / terrorists group.. wait a minute he is a terrorist himself.
Canadian government has lost credibility by protecting these kind of people… instead should be focusing on development in education, health, science and innovation industries.

Further to my previous comment I would like to add that leadership of a nation matters. One cant have leader like Justin Trudeau and expect good results. The whole canadian team have no clue about diplomacy. They thought that they were dealing with some small South American country and made big noise about it instead of dealing diplomatically. Canada unfortunately has very liberal immigration and refugee policy and there are consequences for allowing people with criminal backgrounds. India has been trying for the past 30 years to address some concerns and canada has been dodging. Even Bangladesh has been in same boat regards some criminals hiding in Canada. Canada has to be respectful of laws of other nations. One cannot be a wanted criminal and end up in canada and get protection. Try and do it with our neighbors to the south.
