´ہم سے آدم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے اعمش کے واسطے سے نقل کیا، وہ ابووائل سے، وہ حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ` نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کسی قوم کی کوڑی پر تشریف لائے (پس) آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وہاں کھڑے ہو کر پیشاب کیا۔ پھر پانی منگایا۔ میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس پانی لے کر آیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وضو فرمایا۔

´ہم سے آدم بن ابی ایاس نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شیبان نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے قتادہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ` نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”جہنم برابر یہی کہتی رہے گی کہ کیا کچھ اور ہے کیا کچھ اور ہے؟ آخر اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ اپنا قدم اس میں رکھ دے گا تو وہ کہہ اٹھے گی بس بس میں بھر گئی، تیری عزت کی قسم! اور اس کا بعض حصہ بعض کو کھانے لگے گا۔“ اس روایت کو شعبہ نے قتادہ سے نقل کیا۔

ابوسلمہ بن عبدالرحمٰن رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ میں اور سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کا رضاعی (دودھ کے ناتے کا) بھائی (عبداللہ بن زید) ان کے پاس گئے اور غسل جنابت کے متعلق پوچھا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کیوں کر غسل کرتے تھے؟ انہوں نے ایک برتن منگوایا جس میں صاع بھر پانی آتا تھا اور نہائیں اور ان کے بیچ میں ایک پردہ تھا۔ انہوں نے اپنے سر پر تین بار پانی ڈالا۔ ابو سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بیبیاں اپنے بال کتراتی تھیں اور کانوں تک بال رکھتی تھیں۔

ہم سے یحییٰ بن بکیر نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے لیث نے بیان کیا، ان سے عقیل نے ابن شہاب کے واسطے سے نقل کیا، وہ عروہ بن زبیر سے، وہ عائشہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ` رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بیویاں رات میں مناصع کی طرف قضاء حاجت کے لیے جاتیں اور مناصع ایک کھلا میدان ہے۔ تو عمر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کہا کرتے تھے کہ اپنی بیویوں کو پردہ کرائیے۔ مگر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس پر عمل نہیں کیا۔ ایک روز رات کو عشاء کے وقت سودہ بنت زمعہ رضی اللہ عنہا، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی اہلیہ جو دراز قد عورت تھیں، (باہر) گئیں۔ عمر نے انہیں آواز دی (اور کہا) ہم نے تمہیں پہچان لیا اور ان کی خواہش یہ تھی کہ پردہ (کا حکم) نازل ہو جائے۔ چنانچہ (اس کے بعد) اللہ نے پردہ (کا حکم) نازل فرما دیا۔
It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:
“The Verse of stoning and of breastfeeding an adult ten times was revealed1, and the paper was with me under my pillow. When the Messenger of Allah died, we were preoccupied with his death, and a tame sheep came in and ate it.”

Ahmad bin Hanbal:
...A'isha took that as a precedent for whatever men she wanted to be able to come to see her. She ordered daughters of her sisters and brothers to give milk to whichever men she wanted to be able to come in to see her. The rest of the wives of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, refused to let anyone come in to them by such nursing. They said, 'No! By Allah! We think that what the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, ordered Sahla bint Suhayl to do was only an indulgence concerning the nursing of Salim alone. No! By Allah! No one will come in upon us by such nursing!'
