    Dauminique…I really think you should get ahold of me via the email I sent you - there is a lot you need to be told about insurance collision claims handling that will directly affect your process and outcome. For example the evaluation total dictates the percentage of repair dollars allocated…every state has a repair percent to total that allows insurance companies to total the vehicle thereafter…so you have a major problem because of the starting point that has been done in error- this is part of their process and it’s intentional. Not asking you the specifics of your truck as to not have the correct total makes them have plausible deniability- you see there are laws against this stuff but when agents are “ignorant” or intentionally lazy it plays to the insurance claims hand and they will just quickly say sorry. There are even more layers to this and many other issues as well, too much to type and explain. You should get ahold of me before you talk to them again.

    • @DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver
      @DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver  4 месяца назад +1

      I understand how it works. I have an entire spread sheet of comparables available and ready if I need to argue against their valuation. We are not at that point yet because the quote from the body shop isn’t finished.

    • @lanceperry1115
      @lanceperry1115 4 месяца назад +1

      @@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver If your truck is at a Progressive shop, meaning they told you to take it there or that shop is labeled as a “preferred” shop or any other fancy title they like to market as a network shop then your thought process will be to late. If the shop uses CCC one platform for estimating then they are required to do a tear down, photos and estimate and lock it (which is a fancy way of just saying it’s internally emailed)…the program has what’s called a threshold calculator. When that estimate transmits and it’s over threshold it reroutes to their total loss department who puts your payout packet together and you get a call to discuss whether your taking a total check or a buy back valued check and you go get your truck…this is not the time to start discussing the evaluation numbers because it is what set all of that in motion from the beginning. So hopefully you know this stuff and are truly aware of the total process - because once you get to this point traditionally it’s time to get a lawyer and the insurance commissioner involved because they don’t debate the starting point then - it’s why they sent it to you at the start. Good luck 👍

    • @mxaexm
      @mxaexm 4 месяца назад

      Unless it has changed recently, CCC One doesn’t deal with dump trucks.

    • @lanceperry1115
      @lanceperry1115 4 месяца назад

      @@mxaexm it really won’t matter which software platform they used for heavy equipment, the principles of total value, total loss is still going to be the same which ultimately dictates what the threshold for repair dollars will be since that is a percentage of total value…therefore it’s very important to have the value correct when you have a large dollar impact. If the vehicle is valued at 60k and your state is a 60% repair then $36k is max repair amount which would then flip it thereafter towards their total loss department however if the same vehicle was truly worth $120k then the repair amount is up to $72k before consideration for a total loss…so as you can see getting that correct from the beginning dictates the path a repair takes but even more importantly these insurance companies don’t play well in the sand box after they have when thru all that and then you say hey…what about this? Good luck, because they will put you thru the ringer until you just give up or you have taken enormous amount of time doing research or even worse needing a lawyer. Why go down that road, it’s exhausting and awful - just get the value correct from the beginning, you be so thankful you did 👍 and remember “a value” sheet is usually created because their system has tripped the threshold towards not repairable - when an estimate is made and its within the parameters of repair (under threshold) that is not a step that is taken.
