It was a freak accident. It wasn't the riders fault. These reporters are not helping matters. Learn a little about this sport. You also sign a waiver before you go in!!!! If you get hurt its on you!
Have you ever truely attended a mx event? This is horrible reporting. Those guys interviewed were not shook. Spectators and Riders sign release forms that tell them the potential dangers of when they spectate or ride at the mx event. There is always an ambulance on site in case of crashes (because crashes a common. Some worse than others). There are always new riders trying to push/test their ability, and sometimes that results in crashes. This is the most over exaggerated, silly and poorly reported story. You guys make it sound like a deranged rider had intentions to take the spectators out. Sucks that spectators got caught in a novice riders crash, but what an unprofessional way to report it.
Clearly whoever made this report has no idea what motocross is. People wreck all the time. The only reason they published this is because the spectators got hurt.
Sadly someone is going to get sued. And mostlikely a good thing will be no more. I was there and did not have to sign any sort of waiver for spectating. But in this sue happy world everyone will naturally look for someone to blame. When we were all there knowing anything is possible. Im sure the riders had to sign something to race.
