REO fan here from the very beginning. I was in attendance at what I think was REO's very first tour, in Rochester, NY. Son of a Poor Man is one of my all-time faves. In the original version there is some of Gary's talent on display. One of my favorite guitar solos ever!
Wow! This brings back so many memories. I didn't say this, because I'm a "man's man", but I may (or may not) have gotten a tear in my eye while listening to this. Thank you sir.
Hi Kevin, greetings from the UK. 157 was the first REO song I ever heard on the radio over here. The dj introduced the band as RED Speedwagon, I just knew I needed to hear more ! Keep up the great work, stay safe & well and I hope to see REO over here sometime in the future.
I've always enjoyed your songs of hope,, Optimism, Keep pushing on, Plays in your own trail again, etc Being positive will never fade away use like these songs
Good stuff Kevin, always enjoy the stories and songs. You guys did 157 Riverside Avenue two years ago acoustically in Torrington Connecticut, it was awesome!! Look forward to these episodes every week and will be looking forward to my 41st REO show! Thanks again for what you guys do.
Love you Kevin!!! Since the first time I heard you singing(some years ago)! Love your humbleness, sweetness. So down to earth man! Love your guitar too! I got my acoustic mini Taylor 4 months ago and i started playing some of your songs.
I really love the songs KC is picking for these shows - two more excellent choices for this episode. He should put these episodes out on DVD/CD or something. I know I'd buy! :)
Ya. I noticed that in episode 4 and either I couldn’t see it clearly, but it looked like a woman was leaning way over to much & then Kevin looked like he got really uncomfortable .
LOVE YOU KEVIN! Man with a silver tongue for singing...doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo!!! Not enough does but you get it! SOOOOO missed you all at Carb Day 2020!!! Was so looking forward to it! Please, pretty please with SUGAR on top, when you come back to INDY, play SON of a Poor Man, 157, Golden Country!!! I so MISS those songs...still listen to "You Get What You Play For!" Still one of my FAVS...ALBUM/CD/LIVE STREAMING!!!! OF, course I had 8 track too, lol! CANNOT wait to see you again in INDY! LOVE MY REO!!! Take care, stay safe, God Bless AND ALWAYS REMEMBER to Keep Riding the Storm Out!
Mr. Cronin thank you for your concert in this quarentena. It’s a pleasure watching you in the sofa. Ask for you. Who was the woman in the music clip “Keep on loving you”
I'm a little late to this video but the other night while I was out doordashing I had just dropped off my last order for the night and turned my truck on and KSHE 95 had just started playing the live version of 157 riverside Avenue. Needless to say I cranked the radio to eleven and started jamming along. Well about half way into the song and I realized I'm being pulled over by a state trooper. So I turn it down about half way and the officer approaches my truck and asked if I was okay because he seen me flailing my head around. I responded with "yes sir, I was until you interrupted my jam session." He responds with what song was I "jamming" too? So I turn up the radio and that was around when Gray's solo comes in and the cop smiled at me and tapped on the roof of my truck and tells me to have a good night. One of the craziest encounters with law enforcement of my life.
I love this version of "157 Riverside Avenue." Heck, I love any version of the song. The actual lot is not far from me, and whenever I'm on I-95 in Westport and go over the Saugatuck River, I'm humming this tune. I hope they put it back as the closing song for their shows. It needs to be there as much as "Don't Let Him Go" needs to start the show. Absolutely. Yeah!
When you get to the Tuna Fish era, PLEASE play Blazin’ Your Own Trail Again. Been seeing get a lot of mention in comments lately. Meet me on the mountain from 9 Lives was is another great one

🥀Amazing song! At least staying home gives you time to go back in time to reflect on the memories and the future. I'm keeping your book in mine.🥀✌
We are heartbroken that we won't be seeing you tomorrow night here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but this will have to do, and we thank you!!

Man, Kevin seems like the nicest guy ever.
