The black part is not missing. You have to pop off white screen part also if it doesn't come off with the silicone part. Take a pin or needle and pop it off and the black part will be there.
Bro I want to change the size M mine came with to the S size but everytime I go to oulll it off I have to pull so hard it feels like I am going to rip the silicone so I just leave in the medium size ear tips which is fine but I would rather have the smalls .Swriously why is it that hard to take the ear tips off

@@cizmas4724 I have AirPod pros and I had no idea how to fix it my solution was that when you see that white thing there should be like 2 wholes beside it try to get your nails 2 both of them and get it out then the black thing should appear
The Apple eartips or the foam ones? You do need to replace the foam ones from time to time otherwise they absorb all sorts of... ear stuff... and degrade over time. But a pack should last you a year if you keep your ears and the eartips clean!

Sounds better as they form a better seal in your ears.
Perhaps the poor ear tips affect the sound but these definitely don’t!
