- I should have done this sooner! - Today I'll show you what happens when you simply throw your acrylic paints onto the canvas.
A very exciting and simple acrylic painting technique that even beginners can implement immediately.
All you have to do is properly dilute your acrylic paints before painting. I'll show you this and everything else that needs to be taken into account to ensure that every work of art is successful, in my online course:

For this technique I diluted my acrylic paints with pouring medium.
So that too much color mixing doesn't result in a gray color sludge, I only add a few colors to each pouring cup.
Usually only three different colors, but a maximum of five or six different colors.

Made me think that it would be fun to throw the paint while blindfolded, throw the paint onto a hung canvas (an easel would work too), or combine both blindfolded and upright. 😁

Instead of the plastic or vinyl or whatever the black surface is you spill the excess paint onto, have you ever put a larger canvas under the main canvas and gotten a two paintings for one pour?
Lol! I had the same thought! As a very broke artist many years ago, watching folks let all that paint fall onto something they’re going to throw away makes me cry inside!!
I've seen another artist dip smooth rocks into the leftover paint
You can also scrape all the excess up and mix it together for base layer of future project.

A lovely painting but why is it displayed as a large piece over the dining table at the end when it's clearly not that big when being created?
