Tamal Basu, let's not try to twist things around here. It's not about Bangladesh gives freedom to the other religion to practice their food habit. There are many restaurants in Bangladesh that are running by Hindu's. And they chose not to serve pork because of their own profits. Also majority of Hindus in Bangladesh avoid eating pork or pork related products in general.

A lot of comments here are about the bacon, bacon can be made from pork, beef, turkey or anything to be honest... that has fatty content. It is found halal here in the USA and consumed by Muslims. Bacon and sausages as well. Also the potato item is known as "hash browns", this breakfast is a typical normal breakfast every day here where i live. I love the vidoes! Well, just another netizen here. I am not trying to troll or disrespect, but in all honesty and fairness you ordered a full English breakfast which entails the bacon on the right side of the plate. If you didn't want it you could have just omitted it from the order or requested an alternative (here in the States, there is turkey bacon, or veggie bacon). Since your food exploits is addressing the Bengali people in a secular context, why do you feel it is perfectly fine ordering beef steaks and discussing about it yet ordering bacon and not even remotely mentioning the fact. Well said sir, with logic, but problem is with food bloggers who are not deciding their target audiences, and the hyporcracy is found more in Muslim bloggers who are giving secularism a damn, they give importance to religion than education. So, they are stuck in nowhere.

I don't think anyone else in Bangladesh is doing such a great job when it comes to reviewing food and the restaurant industry. I know a lot of time you have to think on your feet and make decisions when the video is running, which may give us the experience of unedited footage, but I guess to cut editing hours we get to see those which I am perfectly okay with. Now, let's come to the real reason I am writing today. I usually don't like to step on cow dung but I felt like this is a rare opportunity where the manure is worthwhile for me to dive into; head first. This message is addressing those public commenters that finally reached minus(-)30 (I)ntelligence (Q)uotient, thanks to Wikipedia and its Bengali version. "Bacon" is processed meat, specifically dry cured with salt: essential to pre-refrigeration era, that comes from a specific cut from the bottom of the belly region of bovine (I.e. Cow, buffalo), swine (I.e. pig, hogs, boars), capra/ovis (I.e. sheep, goat) or from poultry (I.e. chicken, duck, turkey). Bacon is actually bacon when it is a thin or thick cut from the bottom layer of the belly of an animal with a higher portion of fat and a smaller portion of meat. It is not mandatory that bacon should be from pig meat or pork. Although I believe Hillol could have easily asked to not get the bacon piece (I read the menu at 3:38min of the video and it read the sausage was chicken), as soon as he realized it, he did not go for it and did not eat anything that touched it. Whether he eats it or not is completely up to him. Also, although you have to hold the fork with your left hand, Muslims that use silverware often and know how to use them would cut the food in usual manner and then switch the fork from left to right and eat. Again eating with left hand is Makruh, not a sin. Eating shrimp is Makruh (just to put Makruh in perspective). I can honestly say I am not a fan of Indian/Indians or Pakistan/Pakistanis, but I do believe just like Bangladesh, there are educated scholar people in other countries that maintain a standard in the food industry as part of their respective jobs. So saying that " দাদাবাবুদের কিন্তু অভ্যাস আছে রান্নার সময় রান্নাতে এক চিমটি গোবর আর কয়েক ফোঁটা গরুর মুত্র মিশিয়ে দেওয়ার", is beyond ludicrous. In England, in the full English breakfast, they do not serve hash browns (potato croquettes). Hash browns is an American breakfast item. Also in England they do not serve chicken sausage - both the bacon and sausage is pork (sometimes sausage can be beef). In USA the traditional breakfast includes hash browns and chicken or turkey sausage and turkey bacon as an option (for health reasons and for Jewish and Muslim customers). Pork bacon and sausage is usually served. In USA no baked beans. And fruit juice in both UK and USA is usually orange juice only. I have lived in both countries. Nice video.

I eat pork, chicken, beef and turkey products. That is chicken sausage - none of the others will be made of white meat. The bacon is not pork bacon - back bacon and bacon rashers look completely different, shaped very differently, and both with a lot more white, sometimes marbled, fat. My guess would be that it is turkey or beef bacon.

Flurys is really good place..but not really for middle class people's having breakfast..in Kolkata theres so many tasty indian breakfast items are available..due to that there's no necessary to come in flurys for having your breakfast..mainly flurys is popular among foreigners..those who can afford such a expensive breakfast.. One thing I can say flurys confectionery items r popular ,good ,reputed..without any doubts.. Also the good video presentation by Adnan bhai..great job ...make more videos..

Tamal Basu, let's not try to twist things around here. It's not about Bangladesh gives freedom to the other religion to practice their food habit. There are many restaurants in Bangladesh that are running by Hindu's. And they chose not to serve pork because of their own profits. Also majority of Hindus in Bangladesh avoid eating pork or pork related products in general.

Well, just another netizen here. I am not trying to troll or disrespect, but in all honesty and fairness you ordered a full English breakfast which entails the bacon on the right side of the plate. If you didn't want it you could have just omitted it from the order or requested an alternative (here in the States, there is turkey bacon, or veggie bacon). Since your food exploits is addressing the Bengali people in a secular context, why do you feel it is perfectly fine ordering beef steaks and discussing about it yet ordering bacon and not even remotely mentioning the fact. Hopefully your trip is going well. Very happy with your effort. I don't think anyone else in Bangladesh is doing such a great job when it comes to reviewing food and the restaurant industry. I know a lot of time you have to think on your feet and make decisions when the video is running, which may give us the experience of unedited footage, but I guess to cut editing hours we get to see those which I am perfectly okay with.
Now, let's come to the real reason I am writing today. I usually don't like to step on cow dung but I felt like this is a rare opportunity where the manure is worthwhile for me to dive into; head first. This message is addressing those public commenters that finally reached minus(-)30 (I)ntelligence (Q)uotient, thanks to Wikipedia and its Bengali version.
"Bacon" is processed meat, specifically dry cured with salt: essential to pre-refrigeration era, that comes from a specific cut from the bottom of the belly region of bovine (I.e. Cow, buffalo), swine (I.e. pig, hogs, boars), capra/ovis (I.e. sheep, goat) or from poultry (I.e. chicken, duck, turkey). Bacon is actually bacon when it is a thin or thick cut from the bottom layer of the belly of an animal with a higher portion of fat and a smaller portion of meat. It is not mandatory that bacon should be from pig meat or pork.
Although I believe Hillol could have easily asked to not get the bacon piece (I read the menu at 3:38min of the video and it read the sausage was chicken), as soon as he realized it, he did not go for it and did not eat anything that touched it. Whether he eats it or not is completely up to him. Also, although you have to hold the fork with your left hand, Muslims that use silverware often and know how to use them would cut the food in usual manner and then switch the fork from left to right and eat. Again eating with left hand is Makruh, not a sin. Eating shrimp is Makruh (just to put Makruh in perspective).
I can honestly say I am not a fan of Indian/Indians or Pakistan/Pakistanis, but I do believe just like Bangladesh, there are educated scholar people in other countries that maintain a standard in the food industry as part of their respective jobs. So saying that " দাদাবাবুদের কিন্তু অভ্যাস আছে রান্নার সময় রান্নাতে এক চিমটি গোবর আর কয়েক ফোঁটা গরুর মুত্র মিশিয়ে দেওয়ার", is beyond ludicrous. Please do us all a favor and vanish into thin air as I can not solicit suicide to someone.
I only hope that everyone let Hilol do his thing; he is doing as best a job as he is capable of. Please criticize/address issues based on content. If anyone has issues with him having a piece of bacon in his plate or him eating with a fork that was held properly or even the fact that his ex-wife was not Muslim, please just be the peeping tom you are and don't worry about showing the inner ugliness of yourself by commenting. I eat pork, chicken, beef and turkey products. That is chicken sausage - none of the others will be made of white meat. The bacon is not pork bacon - back bacon and bacon rashers look completely different, shaped very differently, and both with a lot more white, sometimes marbled, fat. My guess would be that it is turkey or beef bacon.
R SC Here chicken sausage is also available. Many Hindus too do not take pork.

Flurys is really good place..but not really for middle class people's having breakfast..in Kolkata theres so many tasty indian breakfast items are available..due to that there's no necessary to come in flurys for having your breakfast..mainly flurys is popular among foreigners..those who can afford such a expensive breakfast..
