Evening Brian, thank you for taking me on a spin out on this stormy night in England.I have got a 68 T100 T and as you say they are quite a revvy little engine and do feel like you could use another gear.I also own a 69 T120R which is as different again to ride.but I do love riding the Daytona as it feel’s so much. lighter.I am enjoying you channel and all your content, just like me a bloke in his garage with a few motorcycles.keep up the good work I look forward to future content.

Hi Christopher, Originally I was looking for a 1963 to 69 T120 as it was the bike I always wanted in my teens but could never afford, always had at least one or two bikes around, also before I retired I was an all weather biker for commuting but mainly used Honda's or Yamaha's as they are very low maintenance and so reliable. Now just riding for pleasure when the suns shining, but spotted the T100R and fell in love with it, so had to buy it.
      Regards, Brian.

Hi Brian, I changed the gearbox sprocket on my T100s (1968) made it a better ride on A roads, its not a motorway bomber not out here in France were the speed limit on motorways is 130 kph = 85 mph in the dry. you have a great bike there hope you have many happy miles on it.

Hi Steve, Just counted the front and rear sprockets, front (gearbox) is 18t and rear is 46t had a look in the parts book and there is a 19t and a 20t front sprocket. I will treat myself to the 19t as I should have enough adjustment on the chain without having to buy a new one.
      Regards, Brian.

Yes they are a bit revvy I put a 2 tooth bigger sprocket on the front this brings the revs down by about 1000 revs a much better ride it is tourquey enough even with 2 up

It has an 18T on the gearbox end at the moment which according to the manual is standard for the T100R, the parts book has part numbers for 17, 18, 19 and 20T, so I would think if you have gone + 2 then you have the 20T. I might try the 19T as I only have a small amount of slack on the chain adjustment and it looks like I would have to buy a new longer chain to fit the 20T sprocket.
      Regards, Brian.
