QOTD- I think May/Brendan are good characters in OR/AS. They have better personality than the originals in Ruby Sapphire games.

QOTD- Brendan and May are great characters, and I enjoy how much Gf fleshed them out in ORAS! Brendan is my favorite male protagonist and May is up there right under Dawn, they just have super cool and unique designs! The interactions between them/ implied romance was also super cute and a nice nod to the Pokespe manga ^^

I like how it's implied in Pokemon Masters that Brendan likes May, and they kept their personalities form ORAS.
The end was emotional with the melody. I'm so glad I played this. The battles were Instense and this is what sparked pokemon to me
I truly love how May and Brendan value each other so much. Throughout your journey, your rival pushes you forward instead of back, and they don’t blindly chase after you either.
As you get stronger, they try their best to keep up, even getting the best of you on Route 110 if you’re not careful. But what makes you two different is that drive to become champion, because it doesn’t really seem like Brendan/ May really care about that.
They just want to have fun, battling and seeing new people is enough, even when you pull away in strength. That’s never more apparent than this battle here. You and your rival spend all day together after you finally reach champion status, and you wind up back where you first battled.
Back to where your journey began, where your rival just wants to see how strong the new Hoenn Champion, their best friend, truly is. Losing doesn’t matter because they already know you’re the best, why else would they nudge you along?
And this seems one sided until you remember what I previously mentioned; you spend all day with your rival. In the Hall of Fame, sunlight trickles in. Your bike ride with May/Brendan takes place during the day too, ending up at Route 103 when nightfall comes. What better way to say thank you for the long journey?
Coupled with their perfect battle theme, I think it’s a landslide for Brendan/May being the best rival in the whole series. There’s no cheap tricks or whining after defeat, just a genuine basis of admiration that pushes you along your journey.

I think that your rival should have used their Mega starter in the Battle Maison. I even have move ideas:
Sceptile: Leaf Storm, Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Swords Dance
Blaziken: Flare Blitz, Superpower, Brave Bird, Bulk Up
Swampert: Waterfall, Earthquake, Ice Punch, Stone Edge
“And then..... I want you to understand everyone about me and mine!” Well sounds like something else besides just a regular Pokémon battle

So much better than the original Gen. 3.
In my opinion (and it’s probably gonna be gone against) OR/AS is a rare occasion where it’s better than the originals (I’m talking about Ruby and Sapphire not Emerald). I’ve played all the remakes and this could be just me but I like FR/LG and OR/AS over Red and Green/Blue and Ruby and Sapphire. I’ve played through Red at least and most of Yellow and while it was great fun it just got really annoying and felt like a chore more often than when I was playing FireRed. But the only unfun part I had about FireRed was grinding for the E4 because my Raichu was over leveled compared to the rest of my team which they were under leveled. But yeah also playing a bit or OR/AS I found it a lot more fun than when I played R/S (I played up to the 3rd gym on both games).
