Because of the immigrant messes is why the white flight...there is nothing to miss but the great memories of how great California was before we allowed so many a chance to be first-world people but, they loved graffiti and their home country lifestyle of what they fled and brought it to America. And now the inflation, many are homeless.

It doesn’t get any better than that in life, yes we’re going through some hard times but me myself is determined to rebuild. Hope to connect soon🤝
Man, LA is losing out because the filmmaking tax incentives are horrible. New Mexico is the #1 state for filmmaking because tax incentives are great on the front and back end. Most people don't know this, but NM generates BILLIONS of dollars in revenue due to their incentives. Hollywood is still the "hub," but on THE BUSINESS side of everything. It's 98% business and 2% show. 💯🎬💰
New Mexico isn sustiainable. Lousiana just ended their incentives. So did North Carolina, Michigan and other states. New Mexico will too. I give it a few years. New Mexico is broke! It wont go on long
@SA-hz1rs I read the "trades" and get email updates from the New Mexico Film Office. I'm actually in the process of getting my screenplay produced, and I rewrote it to be set in NM due to the incentives. So far, I have an Oscar-nominated screenwriter on board, and the Executive producers who make movies with Sylvester Stallone, Tyrese Gibson and Bruce Willis all agree that NM is a great place to make the film because of the business side of things (bottom dollar), and the sound stages. Some of the big Hollywood studios are actually looking at setting up shop in NM.
The Whole Foods has been in downtown for NINE YEARS. I live a block away. Before that, I used to take the sloooow bus along 3rd Street to one on Fairfax!
I'm from Spain living in Utah since 2009. Every time I have the chance I escape to LA since makes me feel like I'm back home in the Canary Islands (actually some of the palm trees there, like the ones in Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills are from my fatherland). But since 2020 LA is going down hill, getting worse and worse and I don't know if they will be ready for the 2026 world cup or the Olympic games. Anyway, great video and content, hermano.Un abrazo
Gracias hermano! I used to be the same bro. Hollywood, Beverly Hills, DTLA, were all my escape when I needed a break from daily life. However going out in Los Angeles just isn’t the same. I find myself buying a plane ticket rather than a weekend out here so just I could get away. Other cities are so much more beautiful than my city at the moment. Thank you again for watching brother!
Love your work! I just watched your previous vid… I’m from SF Bay Area, like LA it’s a shell of its former self. We moved to TX about 2 yrs. ago, but my heart will always be in CA. I’ve been to LA many times and I’m saddened by how much it’s changed. I’m 39 and never thought I’d leave, but after have my boys, I knew we had to leave.😢
It depends on funding that state is giving and where money goes and investors. Depending on where they see the city going , I left in 2019 so it was crazy back then in the valley lots of businesses closed and people was leaving, I saw on the highway. I couldn’t get a U-Haul things have change.
I have to say the valley is doing a bit better than L.A just because everyone is spreading to the valley and onward. But it still doesn't compare to what the city was pre covid. It has definitely changed

I’d say there is still opportunity for acting/music here, but these days you’re better off growing a following wherever you are from in the world then transitioning to Hollywood. Thanks for watching!
I remember the Grand Central Market when I would go with my mother food shopping when I was a kid in the 80's and early 90's. The Graffiti Towers remind me of a similar project called El Torre de David in Caracas Venezuela. Built in 1994 El Torre was nearing completion until the owner financing this project passed away from cancer. The building now sits occupied by poor squatters from the countryside who couldn't afford the local rents, it's even it's own city with shops and squads to keep the peace.

Once you walk in any direction 2 -5 blocks north, west, south or east, everything will be the same as it was 25 years ago . They call it gentrified .
