I grew up cutting lino tiles for block printing. That slowed down to nothing after I set fire to the kitchen with my linoleum tiles sitting on the stove. I was just warming them up for softer tooling. Now you've inspired me to return to the carving art. I especially appreciate your clouds and skies.
I only fast forwarded a couple of times to see where something was going, then went back to see how it got there. Wonderful! Thank you for doing this. Many questions got answered.
Who knew that it was just as peaceful to watch someone else carve as to carve myself. I only use one color layer, but maybe you've given me the courage to be more colorful! Thank you.
Fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing your technique with sgraffito. I watched it all-the end made me laugh! As a two-dimensional artist new to pottery, this is captivating. Beautiful work on a beautiful mug.
I love your sense of humor, at the beginning AND the end! lol As a sgraffito addict I knew what I was in for so I was ready with a cup of coffee to watch you carve. Beautiful!!!
Tout paraît facile quand on vous regarde mais je sais que vous avez le métier, le talent et le plaisir de créer ! Merci et bravo pour cette belle démonstration de sgraffito.
Yes Spring is here hurray! I must tell you that I’ve only been interest in ceramics for a few years and about to invest in a Kiln. I’m learning so much from your wonderful tuition. Love your outside videos too. Thank you so much. Best wishes from your Top fan 🙋♀️
You had me holding my breath at times and thinking where will he go next with the tool, which tool as well. Made me think and love how you have a plan, carve and such a serene scene. Well done Vaughan!
Absolutely ❤ watching this in real-time….sooo inspiring….thank you for sharing!!!❤ Do you carve in silence or do you listen to music in your ears…just curious…I appreciate the silence in video so that one can totally focus on your skill and artistry!
Not a single directed word and yet, I learned so very much. Thank you.
