I know this place well. I'm going to watch this rally for 9 years and almost always there's one left. (The rally is in the village where I live :D) There's the tunnel and then just behind it a blind curve. Unpredictable in the rain

I'm honestly just happy to see that woman survived at the very end because when it was 1st shown you couldn't see her duck and I thought for sure she had her head taken right after shoulders so I'm glad to see she managed to duck in that millisecond she had
Jeez, a LOT of bad ones this week, both on this vid and the other vid from Wednesday. I like seeing destruction, but i think the world should turn it back a notch.

is the concept of anti-lock breaks, and/or threshold breaking an unknown concept in the rallycar community?
Serious question................................
1. The threshold on mud is very low.. even engine braking can make the tires loose traction.
2. On loose surfaces like mud, gravel or snow, locking up the tires actually helps the car to stop as they start to plow into the surface.
3. In rally, braking only ever seems to happen if crashing is imminent. It is rarely used to actually pilot the car. (maybe the handbrake :-)

It would appear that these people can't drive those little sissy plastic toy cars worth a damn. Lol.
They only have a few things to learn, 1/. if on a slippery surface, do not lock the brakes because you then have no steering. 2/. driving flat out is not a strategy, it is a certain way of ensuring you will not even finish!

I know its like a natural instinct to jam the brakes on when it looks like its going bad.... bad a good majority of these crashes would have been avoided if they jammed the gas pedal instead of the brakes!
Blame USA I don't get it, why this "professionals" make some mistakes, that even my girlfriend wouldn't do. They fail often at countersteer and so on.
It's easy to say "Oh you shoulda done this and you would've been fine" after the fact. Not when you're hurtling down a road at 120kph
Is vehicle recovery going to be classified as a sport? These guys seem to live for it... Practically scaring the drivers off the road before they even crash.
