It looks like every BMW driver will get a free ticket for the Nürburgring when they buy a BMW. This is how BMW ensures that they sell a lot of new cars.

Love the camera work at 1:35 where they pan right to see what was steaming in the grass 50 meters back as if the car decided to stop for a quick crap and left something in the grass! Obviously the camera operator thought it was an important thing that fell off the back! .

This is real life and not a game like gran turismo 😄. I have been in a car that crashed at maybe 20kmh and the hood was bent in half and the front smashed. The force was harder than I thought. Thankfully we had all the seatbelts on. The other car who has cut our way got pushed 1m sideways

I was really interested to see the rule about no drifting. Having watched several Nurburgring ‘crash’ videos I couldn’t believe the number of drifting related (and poor car control) accidents recorded. I suppose we have programmes like Top Gear to ‘thank’ for this bizarre obsession.

They had a rep for doing that back in the day! Improvements in tyres, suspension and stability electronics have managed the problem to an extent but as we can see, they still don't overcome the basic laws of physics completely. The engine is still in the wrong place!

I have only ever driven one BMW in my life and it was tail happy like crazy. Scarily so in fact.
I learned on a Golf 4 TDI to drive. Then drove a BMW E28 524td after that. Raced the notorious Schauinsland Bergrennstrecke near Freiburg (Hillclimb race track). In its days it was even more dangerous than the Nurburgring.
RWD is not that dangerous, if you drive it properly. Never had any near crashes with RWD but always with FWD. Some say FWD is safer. I don't think so....

Before racing a car, learn how to drive.
Just touching one small section of the protection of the track with the bumper without causing any big damage costs at least 1000 - 3000 Eur to the participant.

If the race track has like 70% Bmw's in it, so noshit the most of the accidents will involve Bmw's...
What about on the roads where most of the cars are not BMWs?
BMW drivers statistically have the most dangerous driving convictions with 17.1% of all convictions on UK roads in BMW 420Ds, followed closely by Audi A5s with 15%.
It doesn't mean all BMW drivers are like that, but it does mean that drivers like that are attracted to BMWs and Audis.
