How to Not Be So Easily Offended - Mark DeJesus

  • I am often asked how to grow stronger in identity and potential. The answer often lies in being able to not be offended so easily. Being easily offended only reveals where we can be more easily taken out, distracted and pulled off course from what we are called to do.
Let those areas that you get easily offended in become areas where you learn to grow and overcome!

Thank you for preaching the TRUE gospel! Most TV preachers and local churches by me don't preach the true gospel. We all have to get back to basics..... the real gospel!!!!!!! Amen!!!!

True Gospel of Christ is in 1 Cor. 15. Debying oneself, taking the cross daily is discipleship, not Gospel of Christ. Good news in Jesus for salvation from hellfire and sins is free and of grace. By faith in Christ Jesus alone, 0% works. Discipleship should be when you ARE ALREADY saved in Christ Jesus. It is pride abd false gospel to say we should forsake all etc and believe in Jesus to be saved from hellfire.

how can I not be offended when my own family members can't be trusted? I mailed a birthday card t my sister who hung up on me and isn't speaking to me to acknowledge her. She used the other sister to tell me she ripped the card up and threw it in the garbage because it wasn't mushy and "must have come from a box". I know she's I'll and bitter. How do I not feel hurt and offended? She's someone who can't be pleased. God said we will have to leave mother, father, brother, sister, etc. I guess I need to leave her behind and just pray for her. None of this is easy. you also talked about anger. a lot of time the church friends to make Christians think they should not get angry. we are still human and anger is a normal emotion. I even bought a book called the gift of anger. Thanks for your videos. People, please say a prayer for me to be healed of years of emotional abuse, and I thank you for that! May God bless all of you!

mary wolfe praying with you Mary, that despite abuse & mistreatment at the hands of family members you will begin to experience the love of God, radically eliminating your family’s actions as the standard of what love is. I’m believing with you that God will bring complete healing to you in this area. It’s possible bc He’s doing it for me. Pray things have gotten better since this posting.🙏🏽😇

Searched for messages on offense and many were fluff and passing around the same information. No actual revelation. No practical advice. No insight.
This video was the opposite. I felt the anointing on this, too. Thank you. I'm halfway through this and had to comment because this video is so valuable. you said, "Offense will take you out at the most dangerous times." Offense is a sure distraction.

I have been wrestling with feeling cynical and skeptical and offended and untrusting of the church for various reasons. I would constantly wrestle with myself telling myself to stop it and asking for forgiveness over and over and yet the thoughts would return almost with a vengeance. I was so mean to myself and so invalidating and so critical of myself for not fully agreeing with everything being taught in the church. I think because I was so mean to myself and didn’t validate that my concerns were legitimate, I was in turn being hyper critical and was easily offended towards the church. I think what needed to heal in me was not being so mean to myself and actually validating that my concerns are legitimate, even though I thought the problem originally was just me being offended and cynical. Now I feel way more at peace and the negative cynical thoughts are more in perspective to the point where I can now converse with the church about my concerns and take it from there. Just my two cents in case it helps anyone else! God wants us to be kind to ourselves!!! In turn, we can be kind and gracious to others!

Oh my goodness. This is exactly what I'm dealing with at the moment. I almost let the Offense get me but I started processing it inward. Lord I wanna grow. Show me oh Lord. I needed this so much. Still a great message 5 years later.

This is God's timing for this message in my life. I heard someone teaching on this the other day and I finally got the message. The bottom line once again is love. When I'm secure within God's love for me, what other people say and do are not going to affect me. Instead I will see their need to know God's love and acceptance. The Bible says do not take offense so it's a choice.

The ability to control our response to life is what changes everything.
    Proverbs 18:19
A brother offended [is harder to be won] than a strong city: and [their] contentions [are] like the bars of a castle.
I am working on it always. Plenty of opportunities!
Just when I think I have it down-
    A zinger comes from nowhere!
    ;)
Lately, I have been using a sense of humor on myself to dissolve it. Usually it is a past wound that the enemy is trying to stir up.
If I can accept that I am flawed, and am silly sometimes, just like everyone else. Sometimes that takes the sting away.
It doesn’t always work, and sometimes it’s not appropriate, but it’s a tool.
    Great video! Thank-you!

Mark your teaching on our true identity is the antidote to this problem. When we realise our "in Christness" our identity as children of our heavenly Father we find it easier to let things go.

I do want to move into what it takes to be a woman of God! God how can I grow in this?
I'm ready to go through some rounds!
I am ashamed of how much my church has helped me and how little I have given back.
When a leader talks to me from my church I get the vibe that they are ashamed of me. And as soon as I start serving and tithing I'm scared of how offended I will be again once I then see them acknowledge me.

Well I am just offended as Satan spit that Fauchi murdered my mother. Then ge almost got me. Then my own Governor got the medicine that I could not get. Then y went to the Amish and got the medicine that helped.
Don't get offended , folks. Trust time is over. God still needs me to help my family. It is somewhat healing to guit listening to authority and do the best your intelligence and faith drives you to.
So now my national church leaders want me to basically hate my ancestry while at the same time praising a groomer seminarian giving a children's sermon . Christ did, after all topple the tables if the money changers. Stant tall. You do not have to discount fifty years of faith training to conform to the spirit if the age.
