I'm a Court-based mediator and everytime I mediate a dispute, the parties are so stuck in their heads that its hard to get them to work together to resolve their problems. I have to be very centred in order for the parties to trust me and to get them to look to me for solutions. Definitely spot on about pinging off people and group think.
You know what I noticed. When Tyler asks them what the word means in Spanish. He is getting them to repeat the words out loud in their native language so they remember and understand the words/topics. Interesting....

When you read you mind is fully engaged unlike when you watch TV. When you read you get something called "expierence-taking" from the characters.
