When ever you change the snares and stuff it would be cool to hear the change while the rest of the music is playing,then we can really hear how each sounds in a mix and not just alone.
I've used both EZ and superior for years now, and they are indeed pretty cool. I'd actually be shocked if Toontrack doesn't see this demo of their stuff and ask you to be the guest drummer for a midi pack.

The funny thing with Ez Drummer is its loaded with like a hundred samples and it doesnt crash my DAW same with Ez Mix too, it doesnt crash my DAW even deploying it like 20 times on each track including the mastering... Toontrack is cracked..

Is it weird that I prefer the sound of these new sounds to the Nick Barker presets you typically use, at least as far as the toms are concerned? It now sounds like each tom is a different drum, rather than just the same sound pitch-shifted up or down from any starting point
My only complaint about Toontrack is that they ignore querys on their forum. Superior Drummer 3 came out last year and I own Superior Drummer 2. They only offered an upgrade for a hot minute, and if you didn't have the money to take advantage of the $200 "deal"... you got screwed. You now have to try and sell your old Superior Drummer 2 software (good luck with that) and buy another $400 drum program to get the Superior Drummer 3 content. That was a pretty big dick move. Oh... wait... in their infinite kindness, they'll crossgrade my $150 EZ Drummer software over to Superior 3 for a meager $300. Wow... what a savings Toontrack. Thanks!
Nice! I would like to know how you mix in your cymbals and how you record them? Which overheads do you use? and how do you deal with bleed from the shells being caputred by the overheads? Cheers from Switzerland!
Do you have to use triggers to sample ez drummer over your tracks? Or can you record with microphones and then use the EZdrummer plug in to change the sounds?
Superior drummer 3 has a replacement feature. It can take your recorded drums and translate it to midi. There are definitely some workarounds for ez-drummer, but you'll need some extra software or vst's to accomplish that.
Samus. Maybe another string to add to your bow. People will buy MIDI tracks for things like BFD/EZDrummer. Specially in the metal genre. Complete songs work best with intro/bars/middle 8's/solos/fills/outros/alternates etc for everything. You could leave it all unquantised. Some basic top/tailing. And just play grooves till you bleed. People will buy it. You can also sell stuff to the sample lib producers. Source used to be in this game. Created drum samples for these types of products. Not going to out myself. But trust me. These things sell in decent numbers. Tend to be a slow burn. But a long tail as well. Just an idea. Food for thought as they say. Not sure if it something you are already thinking of doing or in the process of doing so apologies if it am teaching grandma to suck eggs. Just thought I would mention it.

EZDrummer and EZMix are my go-to plugins too, they're just that good. EZMix 2 really is a godsend, I use it literally everytime.
