That’s ridiculous. Someone who is a musician and a arranger should know that’s not how this works. Someone should sue these bastards. Did you fight the strike? There was a few I got reversed and there was one that was total bs that still stood after I disputed it.

I just abused the crap out of some copyrights with my james earl jones videos. I "stole" so much from movies. Making darth vader say stuff from sandlot and field of dreams. Nothing. I used another guys own sax arrangement of a star wars song in the background and copyright claim appeared. Shouldnt i be struck for the j.e.jones previous videos? As long as its popular already in the algorithms nothing happens? Does the a.i. help raise interests for other financial investments? Let it slide because someone is picking up money on another end? Mine would fall under parody i would think. Does a.i. lack a sense of humor?
Just watched your james earl jones sandlot video that was funny 😂 definitely will be subbing. I think that should fall under fair use, you parodied the whole thing you didn’t just play the original version on camera with none of your own work. I think If something is already really popular and has already made a ton of money, such as Star Wars they might be less likely to come after a small creator for it, but that sax arrangement you mentioned may not have made any money and so whoever did it jumped at the chance to claim it. If you only used a small segment of his arrangement that should be fair use. You could try disputing it with RUclips or contacting the guy who owns the arrangement directly to try and get it sorted. But I’m not exactly an expert in fair use law, I know my situation was covered by fair use but I would take any advice I have with a grain of salt.
