The anime original flashback scene with the OG Gotei 13 was honestly one of the best parts of this episode.
But damn, though, this was quite an emotionally heavy episode, especially with Shiro Sagisu's remastered OST and some really great storyboarding. I personally found this about just as great as the previous episode, ngl.
OG Gotei 13 looked COLD AF. All look incredibly badass and brutal
This episode basically Yhwach tell Yama, "Peace has cost your strength, victory has defeated you"
Love both the dramatic reveals: "Your own mother" & "My son born in the dark"!!! xD Has the same kind of energy as Vader's "Luke, I am your father"! xD xD
Yamamoto died standing just like Whitebeard.. damn both are greatest

Nope. Whitebeard died in glory as they emphasized on his legend. Yamamoto died in disgrace, signalling an end to his cruelty in the past. That's why Yamamoto 's death is my fav

supposedly in manga, each panel showing captain face spelt the title card and the anime also doing the same thing. but putting the title card at the end with tht transition is also nice!
Trash star wars knock off plot, animes that build up mc's as if they're normal average people doing their best efforts to becoming stronger only to later be reaveled they're some child of prophecy or son of a huge badass lineage in the verse are simply poor developed and cliche, naruto did this, bleach did it, at least goku is the son of a actual average low class sayan and has no bs phophecy or child of some ultra powerful character in the verse, his achievements are 100% results of his efforts alone, this is actually inspiring instead of this cliche lame trend
@@davimedina5165 did you really compare star wars to anime? their stories are completely different? Also, isn't luke literally the chosen one too? and the son of one of the strongest jedi/sith lord?
I really don't care if the mc is the special or normal. the reality is that both of them NEED to get ridiculously stronger. The real question is if the writer can make how they get stronger BELIEVABLE. If they make rely on the chosen one trope too hard, then it feels cheap and unearned. But if a "normal" characters gets too strong too fast then it feels bullshit and contradictory.
@@asianpersuasion4901 Clearly their plots have similar traits if they make the main character later to be revealed as some sort of child of prophecy or son of a ultra powerful character in the verse
When the main character is initially presented as a average joe in the verse only to later be revealed he's all but a average joe that already makes all of his achievements unearned because you cant tell if he managed to the things he did because of his efforts or because of his godlike innate talents

I agree that saying ichigo and naruto aren't special are ridiculous. But saying they didn't struggle is EVEN MORE ridiculous. they are blessed and strong. so they have to fight enemies even stronger than them. Nothing about their journey is easy.
All I can say guys. It was worth the wait!
This Invasion completely destroyed all the tropes Bleach have had till this moment.
You want some examples... I've got a few:
- Byakuya being in trouble but always overcomes the enemy ans defeats him - done, got absolutely obliterated.
- Kenpachi appears meaning we are safe now - done, defeated to unconsciousness.
- Captains using their Bankai to defeat the enemy with ease - done, the enemy was waiting for that and was prepared.
- Yamamoto appears on the battle filed means the enemy is done for good - done, got absolutely brutally murdered.
- Ichigo appears just in time to save everyone - done, he appeared when everything was done, the enemy had won.
- Ichigo somehow defeat the main antagonist (even by luck) - done, got his bankai destroyed.
The First Quincy Invasion is Bleach at its absolute best.
Also, 20:10 - if some of you don't know what's going on here or how bad is that, I'll remind you that Zanpakto, which was broken in its Bankai form, could never be restored or repaired.

@@chickbowdrie4750 when he learned the final getsuga i guess is mugetsu during his fight with aizen he fused it with his OP attack then leaves him powerless after some events he regained his powers with +effect now the mask rarely comes out as ichigo has obtained a degree of power that the hollow deemed he didnt need to interfere
or his hollow powers are suppressed by him not fully understanding his "true" origins which i wont spoil it for u, you gotta watch till the end for things/ pieces/story plot of the larger puzzle to fit
@mr fadzy I just find it interesting that Ichigo lost his Shinigami powers, but there was no mention of him losing his hollow powers. I know it's assumed he lost them too, but really I don't remember and mention of the hollow powers. And when he regained his powers back, again there's no mention of "regaining his hollow powers as well". We have to assume he lost them as well fighting Aizen. But I honestly that's a part of the plot they forgot to deal with in the story.
But perhaps we can more safely assume that while Tensa Zangetsu was fighting Ichigo and he was fused with Hollow Ichigo, that Ichigo's Final Getsuga Tenshou was also fully infused with the hollow powers, hence why he was so powerful that he existed in a higher dimension than Aizen. Yeah, I think that makes sense. Losing his Shinigami powers in the end was also losing hollow powers.
Buuuuut.... we go back to when he got his powers back, Soul Society only gave him Shinigami powers - not hollow. The only way I think this works is if he never lost his hollow powers but could not use them whatsoever without Shinigami powers. But that's a big fat mystery imo.
Not really his biggest mistake considering without the others help he wouldn't have won even near the end of the arc
