There is a disruption/ distortion of the story of Milarepa, His Mother lived and witnessed the damage brought to his uncle's son's wedding, and in fact his Aunt and uncle survived the sorcery Milarepa brought.
And Marpa commands the dismantle of the houses he built, and orders Milarepa to re-orient and re-locate all rocks and soils from where he once picked them all from for the building
    .

One day when milarepa was meditating then goddess dakini comes in his mind and says that "there is something that even your teacher hasn't taught you he has forgotten it" when milarepa ask's his teacher he says I to don't know that's why they came to India to met niropa😁

When Milarepa left Marpa, after learning all he can, to do his own practice to become enlightened, Milarepa never saw Marpa in person again.
Marpa appeared to him in a vision when Milarepa was practicing alone,
but did not appear in person.
    Please get your facts straight🙏

The exact question is not known. But generally the last question/task of a spritual seeker is to recognise the seer or to find ones true self( to drop ones identity so that one realises the true self).
The godess must have pointed to this goal and must have asked Milarepa how he could do it ?

GOOD to hear to story of a great tibetan yogi
but in the story something IS WRONG: when milarepa returnrd to apply black magic for revenge his mother was still living and had great joy watching the effects of the magic, she had to leave due to the great anger of the people ... and milarepa thereafter went to seek liberation in the tibetan tradtion. when staying with marpa he later was in a retreat and after 1 year he had a dream and he left the retreat in order to see his mother. so he left his guru only to find his mother dead. so he took the vow to stay in caves and retreat until enlightment. WHAT IS the lesson of this? do not leave your guru for wordly reasons. milarepa could have saved all the pain by having rejected the dream as an illusion to see his mother ... and if he had known more about the law of karma before, he could have avoided the karmic backlash of his black magic, but this is another secret ...
