Beautiful build!! I laughed when you said you still had the factory foot pegs on it though. But that just shows you weren’t replacing things for the sole purpose of replacing them. Great looking bike!!

I still have my 1984 FXRP - 😎 I'm getting ready to drop an S&S Super Stock 96 inch in mine. In 1984 I went into a HD dealer to look at the NEW 883 Sportsters... they were selling for $3999. I took one look at the "Superglide 2" / "Blockhead" fell in love ❤and bought the bike new for $6995, I was 23 years old. At that time they had Shovels and Evo's on the floor at the same time. The FXRP had the 2 inches over front end, running boards, solo saddle seat and NO rev limiter a feature on real police bikes. There's nothing like an FXR..... BEST MODEL EVER BUILT...! ❤🏁 >>>> BTW >>> NICE JOB, LOOKS GREAT.
I wanted a new '89 FXR Sport when I was stationed in the Philippines but after the payment I wouldn't have had money left over for hookers and beer so I had to settle for a Sportster. The FXR was the best bike Harley ever made.
Awesome bike.. looks like tow mater.. feel like there is no way it doesn't sling oil out those holes you drilled on primary... plus contamination during rain or wash.. thoe
No turn signals at all is bold for a bike that does miles and isnt a chopper. I supposed you could swap the taillight for one with signals built in and put some LEDs in the grip ends. Cool build.
Can you give me any info on retaining stock wheels and converting from tapered roller bearing to more modern sealed bearing. I didn't measure yet but I would think sealed bearing would be larger in diameter.
As far as a patina paint job goes its actually kinda lame, you want the paint worn down at all the high spots first not just willy nilly here and there because it'll look crappy like his kinda does, I just painted my a Similar color with a can of spray paint for $25 and I swear it's a better job than his, if I could show you I would
I’ve only ridden yamaha cruisers, never really liked HD bikes but do love S&S engines. I want to do my own build with one of those, would it still be considered a Harley?
Great bike but man I'll never get the way people do bad patina paint jobs when there is no reason. You could have exposed that tank and fenders and gotten some REAL patina and it wouldn't look fake as hell. All these people do these and they almost always do those horrible drips going down. It looks so bad because it resembles NO REAL PATINA. You can't get that look naturally. Just age your sheetmetal yourself and it would look so much better. Oh, last thing about these paint jobs, why do people paint rust on plastic? Everyone knows that little club style fairing is plastic. I'd bet that if you showed the bike to a 10 year old from New guinea that they would tell ya it's plastic. Painting rust on plastic is just silly as hell and fake as hell. Lmao at my long ass paint comments. If you love it, good for you. And again, great bike (with bad paint. Lol)

Man, I love the thinking behind this build, Patrick. Great use of American-made components, too. It really turned out great!
I'm not a cruiser guy but it's cool learning about this whole custom cruiser world.
Magellanic SpaceClouds, that ain't yur daddy's cruiser.... you heard the man he said "Club Style" that's a an all American Hot Rod 😉
Well done Patrick!! That is fun to look at and I hope it is amazing to ride.

Nice work!
Great job! I love the old and new combo.
Man that's awesome!
Bloody riper mate I have the same bike but stock as a rock 42000 original kilometres on it
Looks great man! Good job on all of it. 🤘
Happy for you and your build !
Looks awesome....especially with stock wheels
Now this is a sick custom bike! Love it man.
That bike is drop AF. 👍🏻
Just beyond cool. This inspires me!
Great scooter.Congrats.
Beautiful bike!👍👍

Its a dry clutch / belt drive . No oil. Can be ran open or closed
@@LeathalLefty1 ahh 👍. I've seen open primary and dry clutch. But that did not occur to me.
Love it!
Nice❤
Love it
Hey Patrick what did you end up doing with the Husqvarna Svartpilen 701?
I traded it for a 690 SMCR then moved to a 890 Adventure R. Really liked the 701, like the 690 more, will own another one.
Looks great Pat awesome job! What did you do for the oil lines? Are you still running the stock ones? Hard to see.
I made new lines, basically stock set up
After you scuffed the air cleaner and out primary did you put anything on it to protect from rust?
They are aluminum.

I’m fine with hand signals. Put 50K on my Dyna with no signals , less is more 😂

hell yea
At least it has a cool paint job that doesn't look like a 90s chopper with a technicolor paint job.

Is that a delkron motor?
I love this, but it’s barely a Harley anymore with Al of the aftermarket stuff on it!
124 geez I have s&s 107 and its to much !
geeeeez I got 96” fxdB
I have a 91 FXR with the same engine. It’s been stretched and lowered. It makes 134 hp and 128 torque.
You gotta ask how much this all cost?!?
Specs on motor?
I wish i had a bike😫😩😭
🥰🥰🥰🌹🌹😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
🇺🇸🫣 hydraulic clutch? Everything else is 🏁...one-off for sure... the belt/chain drive is screwed by mushy input, 😢
I actually tried a cable clutch first, didn't like it. I generally prefer cable clutch's but for whatever reason didn't like this one.
