  • Microsoft Excel Tutorial: Embed any Excel Logic in a Web App Using www.sheetcast.com/
    Try this web app now to search my videos: c07.sheetcast.com/view/c79f93...
    Welcome to episode 2635 of the MrExcel podcast! It's been 25 years since I started sharing my Excel tips and tricks with all of you, and I couldn't be more grateful for your support. Today, I have something truly amazing to show you - how to publish any Excel logic as a web app using Sheetcast while protecting your intellectual property. Plus, I'll also be sharing how you can search through 25 years of MrExcel content using just 18 Excel functions. Let's dive in!
    Have you ever wondered how to create a web app from your Excel workbook without giving away your intellectual property? Well, I recently met with the team at Sheetcast and they showed me how it can be done in just minutes. All you need is your Excel workbook and the ability to build logic in Excel. Sheetcast takes care of the rest, giving you a fully functional web app. And the best part? You can protect your IP while still having all the calculations work seamlessly.
    To put Sheetcast to the test, I challenged them to create a web app using some of the most complex Excel functions, such as IMAGE, HSTACK, and FILTER. And to my surprise, they were able to deliver a fully functional web app in just a few days. This is truly mind-blowing and a game-changer for anyone looking to share their Excel work without compromising their intellectual property.
    But that's not all. Sheetcast also allows you to search through 25 years of MrExcel content using just 18 Excel functions. No more scrolling through endless RUclips videos or trying to remember which video had the information you need. With Sheetcast, you can easily search for specific phrases and find the exact video you're looking for. It's like having your own personal Excel search engine!
    I'm truly amazed by the capabilities of Sheetcast and I'm excited to share it with all of you. In honor of the 25th anniversary of MrExcel, Sheetcast has created a special URL where you can try out the web app for yourself. Just click the link in the description below and see for yourself how easy it is to create a web app from your Excel workbook. And don't forget to use the coupon code "25years" for 25% off all Excel eBooks at the MrExcel store.
    I also want to take this opportunity to thank the amazing community at MrExcel. Your support and participation in the MrExcel message board has been invaluable over the years. Together, we have created a community of smart and talented individuals who can solve any Excel problem. Thank you for being a part of this journey and here's to many more years of Excel success! Congratulations on 25 years and here is to 25 more years.
    My first exposure to spreadsheets was VisiCalc on an Apple II, then Borland's Quattro Pro. Your videos have often pointed me toward approaches that solved business challenges and reduced my frustration. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

    Different topic: Wanted a single formula to spill a calendar month that would begin with blanks for the last few days of the previous month instead of hiding those dates with formatting. I came up with LET(x,C7,WRAPROWS(DROP(HSTACK(EXPAND({""},,WEEKDAY(x,1),""),SEQUENCE(,DAY(EOMONTH(x,0)),x)),,1),7,"")), where C7 is the 1st of the month (displayed as just the month). Not sure if there's a more efficient way, but the MS template used over a thousand IF functions (for backwards compatibility, I'm sure). Thanks again for all the great Excel videos!

      Though it's off topic, I thought this was a neat calendar formula I posted. Was hoping someone would comment on it or maybe have an even better solution.

    Congrats on 25 years Bill!!!! re: sheetcast ... "we TRIED to use the same colors you used" basically means they couldn't replicate the spreadsheet using sheetcast. I hate these marketing types like this. "we can publish any workbook to the web" ... "oh, but we don't replicate the colors, and we don't do x, y, z and a long laundry list of other things that we won't tell you. just buy our product."

    • @Sheetcast
      @Sheetcast 7 месяцев назад +2

      Our BA's were able to successfully replicate the colors Bill used within his spreadsheet without any additional work! All style elements come directly from excel and are interpreted by our engine, there are no additional style elements outside of creating your workbook in Excel!
