What Red Bull Just Said About Its New Driver Line Up Changes Everything!
There is likely no more damning indictment of a driver than being forgotten at your own home race. While yes, some may have given the nether regions of the grid a glance and thought “oh yeah, it’s Daniel Ricciardo’s home race”, it seemed that through a continued lack of performance, more interesting events going on elsewhere and a promising new hometown hero in the form of Oscar Piastri, that the coverage, fans and paddock at large met the honey badgers race weekend with a resounding “eh”. The pressure has been on for Daniel Ricciardo ever since he decided to end an early (and enforced) retirement after just 10 races, jumping into the Alpha Tauri seat to replace the brutally dumped Nyck De Vries. However, it seems the bubble has very quickly burst yet again for the Aussie, as he attempted to return from that McLaren horror-stint, only to open the door up to the next generation and be dwarfed by its potential. The question is, has Ricciardo finally fallen short for the last time, and will we see yet another mid-season-switch up in the Red Bull sister team? Well Helmut Marko certainly has given us some pretty firm indications.

It seems everybody is ignoring the key point that Marko made after Australia in a European media comment, and that was that the TEAM need to give Ricciardo a better car. It might not suit the narrative lately to hear that so maybe it’s being ignored on purpose. But no one seems to be quoting the team principals either who were also positive about Ricciardo and his value to the team. Those who push this “Ricciardo’s done” line after just three races might just have to reflect a little more on the full range of comments rather than being selective about what they want to see and post!

It’s rather strange that to get the seat along with Yuki he had a test at Silverstone & was just 0.7 off Max’s pole position..
Makes you think he can only drive the RB’s as he couldn’t drive the McLaren in a competitive manner & now the same with RBR sister team.
Maybe he has lost mojo big time..
I’m sure Liam would be doing a better job than DR is currently doing..
    Guess time will tell

the catch is, put Latifi on the RB and he'll be 0,3-0,7 off Max

Who knows, maybe Tsunodo is a monster fast driver and deserves a promotion.

Could you imagine yuki in the RB20 it would either be epic or a a serious problem! Plus would love to see the yuki vs max race strategies😂

@@f1fanatics I wouldn't be surprised if Yuki gets a race in the RB20 this year - if Perez has to miss a race. That would definitely spice things up. Right now, I think Sainz is doing everything he needs to get that seat next season though. Horner has already said he's been our only threat in the past two years.
