Saw them in Liverpool on this tour. They where loud but, brilliant musicians having earned their dues on the pub and club scene. Fabulous atmosphere and reminded me of The Who gig several months later at Manchester Belle Vue. The ace days of classic rock
Is there an unedited version of this in the Slade archive? It's so obvious that Thanks for the Memory has a bass overdub, and it sounds like Bangin Man has a guitar dub as well - Slade were so ridiculously good live there was no need to fake it with studio tricks, especially for a radio broadcast.
Slade has always been one of my favourite bands and I was considering buying this CD. Not now. Dave Hill's guitar playing is terrible and it sounds like someone recorded this with a cassette tape recorder.
Yep, but it did the 'yob' that was needed for that band at that time. Have you heard some of today's 'guitarists' or 'musicians'? They play a single note, the only one they know, then switch on 25 different effects pedals and call it a song.

"Just a Little Bit" shows how BAD a guitarist Hill really is.....
