- The pabda machh is one of the most beloved of Bengal’s fishes. It is sweet to the taste, flaky, and delicately flavoured. To top it all off, it is also extremely easy to eat, as it contains no bones besides the central skeleton. This recipe, pabda machh’er tel jhol, is a delicacy in Bengali cooking. ‘Tel jhol’ is the name given to a light curry, which is infused with kaalo jeere, green chillies, and mustard oil. Because it is sparsely spiced, this style of curry doesn’t overpower the star ingredient-the fish-but lets it shine on its own.

I swear Bongs know how to treat their fish right without losing its clean flavour by not using repetitive loads of masala, thereby preserving the clean taste of the fish. Just turmeric and veggies with the goodness of the fish. It's a fish recipe done right! 👍

আপনারা পেঁয়াজ, রসুন, জিরে এগুলো দেন না মাছ রান্না তে। আমরা বাংলাদেশী রা দেই। তবে মনে হচ্ছে ওগুলো না দিলেও ভাল হবে খেতে। যেরকম ভালোবাসা দিয়ে রাঁধলেন ।খুব ভালো। শুভ কামনা রইল।
+Shakila Sharmin পেঁয়াজ রসুন, বা জিরে আদাবাটা দিয়েও মাছ রান্না হয়, তবে পেঁয়াজ ছাড়াও বেশ কিছু রান্না আছে। বিশেষ করে মাছ যদি ছোট ও তাজা হয়, তাহলে এরকম তেলঝোল খুব ভালো খেতে লাগে। মাছের স্বাদটা পাওয়া যায়। অনেক ধন্যবাদ। ভালো থাকবেন।

I m not a very big fan of these small fishes like pabda , Tangra, koi and so on. But I still love watching these videos... Love the background music and love the way u guys shoot it. Most of the recipes I have tried, its gave awesome taste 🤤, only Chingri Malaikari I feel yoghurt was not the correct option, it’s didn’t give the same taste what I used to prepare normally. Just a suggestion more than comment 😇
