Guys I remember hearing this story when I was very young about Nigerian soldiers killing Biafran soldiers and stripping them of their uniforms and pretending to be Biafran soldiers and killing Biafrans indiscriminately. So people who ran later said it was Biafran soldiers. I can’t believe that,however war is awful and the kind of madness it leaves behind is indescribable. One of my family members remembers a story of a Nigerian soldier who had captured civilians and marched them up to ninth mile in Enugu. His fellow soldier fell and got attacked by a python, so every one scattered when they saw this big thing coming through the bush. No amount of bullets were able to stop it. Eventually the story goes that the python chop soldier finish and left his boots. Stories like these are from my childhood and of course like anything, with time, the stories become more elaborate, so much so that the reasons for why hatred or denial of identity begins or ensues, no one ends up actually remembering 🤷🏽♀️
