That’s right! Thank you Beth. I’m still struggling with pain after eating but I’m managing to gain weight back! My thyroid is still whacky and that’s making me pretty exhausted so I’m having to rest everyday. Doing what I can to keep this house and family going🌻🌻🌻

Everybody needs some convenience items to make meals for their families. Don't feel bad about it. Good haul! You are a super mama and cook nearly everything from scratch give your self some grace.

I don't understand why anybody feels the need to criticize anybody's groceries or meal plans. So many people are just doing the best they can do. I think it's fun to get ideas from others. What I'm so happy about is how much better you're doing. I know you just have to take it easy and take it day-by-day, but it's sure nice when progress can be made! I love Chik-Fil-A's sweet tea and lemonade, or sometimes an "Arnold Palmer," half sweet tea and half lemonade...so good!. And before anyone comes for me, I do what I want so don't bother! 😂😂😂
I think because everybody has an opinion- they can hide behind a keyboard and criticize without repercussions. “I do what I want so don’t bother!” Love it!! 🌻🌻🌻

Costco has a nice big bag of wild caught salmon! They also have their organic freeze pops in stock I grabbed 3 bags for the summer!

I know what you mean about being stuck in the past when it comes to grocery prices. I used to get a week's groceries for $10 back in 1985, and I still get nervous when I spend more than $20 at once at the store! You don't get much for that anymore.
We are becoming the folks that say “back in my day we used to walk to school barefoot in the snow both ways….”😂 I remember my mom filling a cart for our family of 9 for under $100.

I had real sweet tea when we were in Louisiana a couple of years ago, holy buckets! My dad, who was from Arkansas, would make sweet tea, and I remember that being sweet, but the sweet tea in Louisiana was a whole other animal!
I bet it is!! The south loves its sugar tea. My mom made it pretty sweet too- she used to put it in our bottles for me and my sister when we were toddlers. I would never 😅 Wild what people did in the 80’s, although I’m sure I’ve seen toddlers with Coca-Cola in their bottles before🫣

Katie, Katie, no syrup in southern sweet tea. 1 1/2 cup sugar per gallon is plenty with lots of ice. Lemon is optional. No syrup if southern. That's worse than putting sugar in cornbread.

It’s really helped us stay hydrated. Adding salt to drinks helps our bodies absorb the hydration better. We need salt! It’s sugar that’s so bad for us. 😅
