"It will not be another Vietnam. Because we have learned well the simple lesson of Vietnam: stay out of Vietnam."
@vitoduval George Herbert Walker Bush #41 is a war criminal
@@kliphy10and not having a real happy time right now, if there is life after death. He will not be missed by real people
kliphy10 and Meh Jones are totally out of sync with the rest of the world tonight.

They just repeat things without understanding.......lots of kids do that these days
as well as all the other countries.
The hand gestures. This is hilarious before a word comes out of his mouth.
"Full scale orgy of death there in the sand"
I forgot how funny Carvey's GB character was
It isn’t funny that the US empire murders millions innocent civilians in cold blood. All this does is run interference for the military industrial complex. If you can joke about it, you’ll succeed in a disinformation campaign about these wars & a total distraction from the truth about the empire.
@@jamienix5399 you seem like a good person. Just kidding.
@@unidentifiable1875 oh the irony
Yeah I had an ominous toxic feeling in me when he said that joke. So many countless Iraqi human beings lost their lives. Iraq, literally the world's first human civilization (post Atlantis) and there we are as fat alcoholic distraction addicted Americans making jokes about its demise. Completely tragic sad and horrifying.
Thanks everyone for the admonishments.... What I meant to say is,
I forgot how funny war is😆😆😆
"Wouldn't be prudent".
Not at this particular juncture
orgy of death out there on the dessert sand. lol
I had forgotten this was the source of that when I made the reference earlier about not using cleaning as a punishment for kids, especially when their parents are sloppy pigs.
SNL 1990-1995 was pure gold. So many talents.
--so many talents but none of them belonging to "bush"
It's been downhill from closer to '92, I'd say.
@ClintDempsey76 94/95. They got Farrell soon after that and I believe the ratings were solid by the late 90's. I've never seen a more talented lineup than the one from around '86 to '92, though. A lot of them went on to have very successful careers.
Yes agreed
@ClintDempsey76 Just checked the show roster for '95. Chris Elliot, Chris Farley, Ellen Cleghorne, Norm Macdonald, Tim Meadows, Kevin Nealon....not sure about ratings issues but it was amazing at that time
The fact that his hands never stop moving shows how smart he is. He can make everything he does funny even if it's not accompying words
Kept making devil horns with his left hand
Dana Carvey was amazing with his impersonations. 😂 I miss the 90’s.
Me too agreed
The BEST DAMN DECADE 🙌🙌🙌
I thought this was his best GHWB skit. " Orgy of death, there on the dessert sand, It won't be birds you hear chirping". lol
I love the George Bush impersonations more enjoyable than watching the George himself even though George was a good guy. I love the hand gestures and Na Ga Da....
u and me both
Only thing missing here was "Dan Quayle...still gaining acceptance..."
Dana Carvey might have been the most talented impersonator SNL ever had. I grew up on this stuff!
Yeah nobody did as many or as well .
Carvey is the best SNL guy ever. Aykroyd second imo.
Me too. I miss the 90's.
"Probably won't, but then again, I might" 29 years later...
They did.
I read that George H. W. Bush liked these impersonations of himself and would actually laugh at them. He had the uncommon ability to laugh at himself.
Farewell to the Chief!
Only that?
Fallon carvey
He even invited him to the white house
yes indeed he did, had Dana over for his birthday party to perform
He was laughing at all the dumbed down humans.....he was & probably still is a non-human, if you admired his ass, you're probably not a real human either.
you know bush sr was a good sport laughing along with everyone else.
What a funny dude Carvey is.
Dana Carvey is hilarious.
Dava Carvey's impression will always be the best thing about the Bush I presidency.
As someone who probably would have voted for him back then, yeah pretty much. Sorry for Bush 2, by the way.
Along with Bush signing off on the Americans with Disabilities Act during the same year (1990).
He was a pretty good president I wouldn’t have voted for him but America would be better if the gop was still like him
This is a masterclass in how to make every second of a monologue funny
Bush loved this impersonation so much he invited Dana Carvey to the White House.
The SNL 1986-1993 run was incredible. The years leading up to 1986 were good and I wish I could say the ones post 1993. If they had half the talent they did during this great run it would still be an all-star lineup or fist loads more than all other previous all-star shows we'have had like Friends and Cheers which had a long list of great performers.
Phil Hartman was great too
Recent years show lost all creativity
👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Looking back on his early work, his humor still seems fresh and
relevant.
A wise man once said that Bush Sr looked like a mix between Mr Rogers and Ted Bundy. Cannot ever unsee this!
"George Herbert Walker Bush, dead today, at the senseless age of 94." ~ Tom Brokaw
Now do one where he has been eaten by wolves.

Hahaha. That's it!
Nah-gah-dah!
Saw Dana about 4 years ago in Boston - still an enormous talent!
Looked this up and can't believe it's been that many years since seeing this🤣🤣Still funny 😂😂
I'm looking for the video with will Ferrell as Bush Jr crashing his speech while he's wearing his infrared night vision goggles🤣
RIP, George H.W. Bush. Of course, SNL relentlessly lampooned every president from Nixon to Trump. Bush probably had the best sense of humor over these parodies and became best buddies with Dana Carvey.
@Justin H No, but Dan Aykroyd did a great impression of him in several skits. SNL premiered during Ford's presidency.
Justin H ruclips.net/video/xu2vdE0z7ds/видео.html Ford vs Carter debate
he's not resting in peace, he's a non-human & more than likely just changed characters...finding another political position in order to kill off more humans. I'm not kidding either.
@@moneypenni1694 You need some fresh air. 🙄
@@TexasMan77 ; I get plenty, I don't wear masks & I walk outside everyday....just because you're ignorant of what these creatures are ( assuming you are a human) don't phoo phoo unless you do some research.
Back when SNL was funny and the parody wasn't mean spirited and viscous. But then again Dana was extremely talented. I guess you do what you can with what you got.
If a person is mean-spirited and vicious, they deserve to be parodied in a mean-spirited and vicious way.
Bush: im a 10.5, could wear a 10 down there wouldnt be prudent 😂
Dana is awesome. RIP G Bush ..
There was another episode where he and Dan Quayle don night vision goggles. I can't find it on YT though.
Look for Bush Approval Ratings!
I remember that🙂

The really funny thing is that he was right. Like this went *really well* for us.
You know you're a millenial when you see "Bush Cold Open: Iraq War Address" and expect it to be the other one standing under a "Mission Accomplished" banner.
TeaReesa26 That’s not the title, so try again :-)
Millenials are too young to remember the Mission Accomplished fiasco. That's the butt end of Generation X. Millenials werent even preteens.
@Sammy N No one born in the early nor the late eighties grew up being called a Millennial. It was generation Y. You're not that either, if you were born in 1990. You had to be born post 2000, hence the term, millennial. US media is trying to isolate millennials from people who were taught, inspired and trained by the baby boomers, so they eradicated Generation Y, and are trying to make Generation X completely irrelevant. A generation without elders and guides is a lost one and easily manipulated one. I was lucky to have been trained, taught and guided by the Black Panthers, The Young Lords, Weather men, Vietnam Antiwar activists, the Black Liberation Army, people that worked together with Malcolm X, people who fought struggles long forgotten. Those are all baby boomers. Millennials don't have that. So be Generation Y, embrace that and guide the future. One.
One more thing, I was still in college in 2003. We organized against Bush's wars. None of us called ourselves Millennials. None of us. Highschoolers coming in, were calling themselves Gen Y.
TeaReesa26 hahaha!! ‘Tis true
@Always Never Operation Desert Storm - Bush. Predates Bill Clinton. Though Bill Clinton did continue with the sanctions that lead to the death of millions of Iraqis. Millennials were too young to remember Bush Jr's war on Iraq, because Millennials were born post 2000. If you were born prior to 2000, you're not a Millennial, regardless of what people are being told trying to erase entire generations of people. Late 90's the earliest that can be called Millennials. The generations that dealt with Bush Jr's war were Generation X and Generation Y guided by the inspirational work of the Baby Boomers who apposed the invasion of Vietnam and fought for civil rights.
Of all the impressions from snl this is burned in to my mind
A thousand points of light
Aired on October 27, 1990
Impossible, he mentioned the "5th Night of Hannukah"; This was December 15th, 1990
PIX Promos & More He also mentions a January 15th deadline. “One month from today”
Dana Carvey where he is one excellent comedian
Great impression brilliant
What talented actor is dana carvey
I remember my career Air Force father laughing to the point of tears at this skit.
RIP President George Herbert Walker Bush.
.....piss on that piece of shit traitor
We were done in a month and got out in under a year. Everyone was relieved. And then his SON came along...
...and avenged the deaths of over 3,000 innocent people. By declaring war on terrorism worldwide.
Osama Bin laden caused ALL of this because Iraq invaded Kuwait, threatened Saudi Arabia and it's oil production and stability in the region.
Where the U.S. and our allies, INCLUDING Arab nations such as Egypt and Syria contributed in stopping Saddam.
Bin Laden's response was anger that the Saudi's 1) did not allow Bin Laden's "associates"- former Mujaheddin fighters from Afghanistan to "defend" the Saudi kingdom, and 2) instead allow "infidels" into the "holy land" to defend it.
W. was right.
Terrorists were lured to Iraq by the US to be killed instead of the US being caught in a quagmire in the mountains of Afghanistan like the Soviets had, and Bin Laden hoped to replicate.
Then Obama announced his plan to remove US military forces from the region, which had been under control, and emboldened radical Islamist groups leading to the creation of ISIS.
Which Trump has corrected.
Your views on facts and history are horribly skewed.
Is this where Donnie got his orchestra conductor hands from. 😅
Funny thing is Bush himself loved this, and became friends with Carvey and his wife
For 25 years!!
This reminded me of Black Bush (Chappelle's' Show).

I could've sworn Church Lady also said "Wouldn't be prudent". But upon further research, she never said it.
Before the country polarized politically and the last time SNL was funny.
O_o So I guess the mid to late 90s and all of the 2000s were a wash for SNL? You must be new to this.
Agreed!
Martinpz (and others) - H.W. Bush and Dana Carvey actually were friends and did charity events together. All you need to do is look at the tone from previous years and now then look at some of the responses to this comment to know that I'm right about the hatred and polarization: "pussy Trump supporter", "Trump is a snowflake" etc...
Hate and Division... The left's gift to America.
Axel Sharpshire I agree with you. I guess the Clinton's were really mean to Bush during the election. I understand forgiveness, but how could Bush ever want to be Clinton's friend? Especially after the whole Lewinsky deal. And the other scandals - alleged rape and harassment. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
SNL has also gotten very raunchy. Dana Carvey was always a favorite. Love the Hans and Franz skits too.
Dana Carvey played George H W Bush on SNL and played George W Bush in Master of Disguise
Gotta see Ross Perot Dana Carvey.
Now that’s my all-time favorite 🤩
In these bizarre times, this lightens the load of uncertainty.

The real George H.W. Bush liked Dana Carvey's impersonation of him.
Yes, he did. He & Carvey became friends.
Wow- that is *some* poker face he's got.
Does anyone else think Carvey's bush impression sounds a hell of a lot like Les Claypool.

“Stay out of Vietnam!” Bush 41 must have realized that it would be another Vietnam if the military pushed all the way to Baghdad. Too bad he couldn’t convince his son and that demon Cheney of the wisdom of that lesson.
funnily enough, Cheney himself made that predication when he was SecDef in 1991... and apparently completely forgot in the 12 years in between
