struggled with the FX in this game and finding settings I like for a long time but I love yours, been using them for a while now and they're the best I've found online.
I feel like this is a commercial for anti depressants lol here’s what life is like before being on postfx all bland and boring and here is life after being on postfx much brighter happier and joyful. Haha
Nice video. Be careful with brightness settings in game as it will make enemy flashlights wayyyy brighter. i suggest leaving it at 0 or even turning it down.
Thanks for the video buddy, it's so funny because I was hoppin on youtube to find a video for the postFX settings and this video appears first when I just opened youtube
I feel like new players always oversaturate with post and using a filter is always a no go for me personally i like postfx but these settings are cranked way too high. The image without post looks better imo and should just be tweaked slightly.
I really like the darkness of tarkov and the depressing nature of it, it is an apocolyptic environment after all, I feel like tarkov doesn't need that color. I like the default game but with some additional sharpening and brightness.
I enjoy watching these types of videos, since every person has a different take, but the post FX I've been using and this might sound like a joke but is to bump EVERYTHING to 100, keep color blind and color grading to None and use the Nvidia panel for that extra gamma or saturation (i have my saturation at 100), and the game looks WAY better, i though the sharpen would make the game look horrible but it doesn't, using face shields won't blur my vision and my gameplay has been better when it comes to medium to long range because i can see the enemy from better distance, that being said i need to point out that running the game with too much saturation will bump your GPU usage and temperatures, specially on shoreline or woods, other than that this is a dope video and i will mention it to my friends that are still trying to figure out post FX settings.
A lot of people actually prefer the Nvidia panel like you said! I personally don’t use it, because it causes weird stutters in game for me, and looks funny on stream. But it’s still a solid option (and better than Tarkov’s in-game PostFX if I’m honest)
"a little bit" Yeah my RTX 2070 goes from a almost locked 144fps to around 110 fps in an offline raid on customs when copying these settings. Sure i'll never get as locked 144fps in an actual online raid, but a whopping 33% performance loss on the GPU is honestly nothing to sneeze at. Tested it on customs and that is one of the easier to run maps. I actually like the original color in Tarkov, but the visibility is just disadvantageous.
To add to that because i had to test that, clarity and luma sharpen are both the biggest performance hitters, so for anyone struggling with performance, leave those at 0. I also tested "scoped in" performance with a Tac30, with @Wubziee's settings my fps go down to around 80, without those i can still aim at 100fps.
ive done coloring testing for 2 years already on tarkov ive nerded every statistic in spreadsheets here is the best settings possible can see everything and looks so good even zero darkness daytime interchange 1. turn off post FX 2.Bring your monitor settings more on the darker side other wise its going to be to bright and normal contrast 3.go to nivida control panel- display- adjust desktop color settings and do the following All Channels Brightness - on interchange 65% any other map 72% Contrast - 100% Gamma - 1.82 Digital vibrance - 100% RED Brightness - on interchange 65% any other map 72% Contrast - 100% Gamma - 1.82 Digital vibrance - 100% Green Brightness - on interchange 65% any other map 72% Contrast - 100% Gamma - 1.82 Digital vibrance - 100% Blue Brightness - on interchange 65% any other map 72% Contrast - 100% Gamma - 2.07 Digital vibrance - 100% only thing you need to do on your part is the personal preference the gamma on BLUE makes the game feel extremely clear and erases alot of the darkness i personally love the BLUE. forsure at a minimum have it 2.07 i have mine at 2.30 and with these settings anything that looks extremely ugly horrible coloring is because that object without the settings is literally pitch black cant even see the wall anyway with it on or not
I’m not sure what you mean “normal” settings. The PostFX in this video are the ones I use every day in game! It’s what I normally play with, and what you’ll see in every one of my videos!
Thanks for the video. You guys got any tips for someone who switched over to keyboard and mouse to play this game? Still feel like movement is awkward for me. Especially when trying to move and lean/smooth lean. I changed some keybinds to help and played with the sensitivity a bit. Thanks.
As weird as it is, I’ve always recommended 3 different games for getting “good” fast on KBM. Minecraft, Rainbow Six Siege, and Valorant. Minecraft is super casual, and will get you used to the WASD movements/aiming in a casual easy environment. Playing for just a day or two will probably improve your movement a good bit, and get that muscle memory & confidence that you need as far as movement and general “aiming” are concerned. Rainbow Six Siege is fast paced and precise so it will introduce you pretty well to the leaning/shooting, while being casual enough you don’t have to worry about your deaths/mistakes. Valorant is also fast paced and is good for muscle memory in relation to spray control and micro-managing your abilities (which will improve your ability to do things like healing/grenades/etc in Tarkov). But everyone learns differently so those might not work for you. Just find some casual games to enjoy before you dump time into learning KBM on Tarkov, because Tarkov does not have a static “sensitivity”, and the inertia/recoil/movement stats will make it 5x more difficult to learn on.
@@Wubbziee thank you, I’ve been playing Hell Let Loose in between being addicted to Tarkov to get used to KBM. Just fumbling around with my fingers a bit. Definitely more difficult than controller.
Thaks man Ive bean looking for the right settings all day but I think I found them thanks to this video apretiatce the hlep One thing I wanna note havnt tested this yet but the blinding of flashlights might be worse with turned up brightness but again havnt tested it yet
It is worse with brightness up. But that’s one of those trade-offs that I think is worth it. Because for every 1 flashlight in my face, is 4 shadow rats in the corners. Lmao
I like the video, BUT I would love to see your Nvidia settings as well(or an intro to someone who doesn't know).. One thing is PostFX and another is "Adjust Desktop Color Settings" in your Nvidia control panel, PostFX does hit your FPS a bit, so if you ever encounter fps drops while having PostFX on, try and turn it off and then tamper with your Nvidia settings, specifically (Digital Vibrance). Either way, keep it up! - Good content!
My Nvidia settings are default. I’m a graphic designer, so I don’t use any Nvidia color grading/settings because it messes with colors/color grading within photoshop!

Hey man nice video, how about you do a video where you show the "cheating" aspect of PostFX and how advantageous it can be specially in dark areas and how easy it is to see black dots (players) from halfway across the map. I like the default earthy colors and pitch black dark, but i know i cant spot shit 90% of the time and im always at a disadvantage which i thought was part of the experience. Unfortunately that aspect is not enforceable so people can run around looking like they're playing mario sunshine or fortnight and take advantage of PostFX. sorry for sounding like im shitting on you but im all about the immersion and this is not a solution to a problem.
Damn I've been sitting here with 2.4k hours in tarkov, ive never assisted post affects because i thought it was a streamer/ video creator tool to make the game look better after being recorded.. not like it actually changed what you saw in game. I feel so stupid lol

That's fair. I play with a few people who prefer the dull colors of the default game!
but you come to a video that says "BEST postFX for BETTER visibility"
@@Three3Nill Color doesn't mean better visibility...

Nice one man. One thing to note is that postfx tanks a little bit of fps especially when looking thru a picture in picture scope.
Also, turning on the in-game fps counter also tanks FPS by 10-20 frames. 👀

1. turn off post FX
2.Bring your monitor settings more on the darker side other wise its going to be to bright and normal contrast
3.go to nivida control panel- display- adjust desktop color settings and do the following
All Channels
Brightness - on interchange 65% any other map 72%
Contrast - 100%
Gamma - 1.82
Digital vibrance - 100%
RED
Brightness - on interchange 65% any other map 72%

Blue
Brightness - on interchange 65% any other map 72%
