      select all the objects that you want to be applied, and make sure the object with the cell shader is highligted. then do ctrl+l and press materials. they will all have the cell shader but will all be the same colour. then, go to the materials tab for one, press the number next to the name of the material, and change the colours in the color ramp. do that for all the objects in the seen :)

      So if you run the coloramp output back into the base colour on a principled Bsdf you’ll be able to effect the colour of the light as well as maintaining the cel shading. By doing this you can also effect all the usual settings the principled Bsdf offers like metalness and roughness! Thanks for the feedback glad you found it helpful!

    • @Littlerolz

      Use the freestyle option when rendering for something like that. It offers a lot more control too than doing it this way. There is a checkbox under the render properties for ‘freestyle’ turn it on and then there’s a large selection of different modifiers for you to choose from to get different effects such as a sketch look for example. If you don’t find it right away there’s plenty of tutorials out there on how to use it. Hope that helps!

    Does anyone know a way to add a black outline to my entire scene in eevee?
    I have tried the background culling method with materials and solidify modifier which was cool but it was so time consuming to do it for every object in my scene. I was wondering if there was a way to apply that method to every object in the collection all at once.

    • @Littlerolz
      @Littlerolz  2 года назад +4

      Hey. I have another video showing a way to make an outline using the grease pencil. And that is based on a collection. So it applies to all objects you have in a certain collection in your scene, here’s the link! ruclips.net/video/a4mV7sCewM0/видео.html You could try that, there are also other ways to do it but I think this may be the most customisable, it just has a slightly different look to the back face culling method

    • @Geometrynode
      @Geometrynode 2 года назад +1

      @@Littlerolz thanks! I tried the grease pencil line art method. I really love it alot. However it causes the viewport to run quite slow. But definitely excited to see how they develop this useful thing in the future. Appreciate your help.

    • @Littlerolz

    This is good advice, but I have a slight problem:
    So I followed a Tutorial on texture painting before, and now I habe some textures I wanted to keep and get cell shaded over. Problem: when done like in this video: the shaders just overwrite my textures, and stuff like eyes with a coloured Iris just got their color removed. Is there a way to keep those textures and use the cell shading as well?

    • @Littlerolz
      @Littlerolz  Год назад +3

      You would need to mix the texture you made with something like the setup in the video, where you could use a coloramp to darken certain parts of the texture you made while still maintaining what you painted

    • @astohm5134
      @astohm5134 Год назад

      You’ll probably need to add a color attribute node and link it to your base color

  • @soramirez5473
    @soramirez5473 Год назад

    so your eyes are a different object/mesh from the head? is that how you got the eyes to have its own materials? also, can you cel shade and animate a rigged character in this way?
    appreciate any response and thank you for the tutorials

    • @Littlerolz
      @Littlerolz  Год назад

      It’s better to have the eyes as separate objects from the head as you can move them and edit them as you please this way. I used just one sphere for mine due to them being completely black so there was no need for different ones. And yes you can totally use this shader on any model or character you want to!
