It can be easy to take punching in and out during a recording session for granted. Some devices have functionality that’s superior in this regard and the Tascam DP-24 is one of them. With a little time and patience you can use this unit to make the process easy and effective as the DP-24 is RICH with features in this area. I wanted to share this information with anyone interested and hope it serves useful.
Dear powercoat music....I hope one day you will make a video that covers the transfer to a PC ...I find all your videos so helpful and are presented in a insightfully manner the presenter is highly professional and comes across in a easy to follow manner....please keep this series up....as it's such a GOOD way for me and probably countless others to learn....well done!!!
Actually, I already did a presentation on that topic. When you can, check out my video “Tascam DP24/DP32 Digital Portastudio: Importing and Exporting Tracks”, on this channel. Also check out the Tascam DP Playlist on this channel. Lots of good information there. Thanks for watching and sharing. 👍🏿
Thanks for your great videos!! :-) I recently dug out my trusty old DP-32 (with CD) and started recording since a long time. I know how to set the auto punch in/out for recording but can't delete these markers for some reason. I'm probably just doing something wrong but please help me? EDIT: Oh, and I run the most current firmware (thanks to your other great video!)
You can delete marks when the recorder is stopped. 1. Press the F FWD (TO LAST REC) button or the REW(TO ZERO) button to move to the mark that you want to delete. 2. Press the MARK SET button to delete the location mark. Thanks for watching. 👍🏿
@@PowercoatMusic Hi! Thanks for your response, much appreciated. That is how I've done it and the punch in/out markers are still there.... even after updating the firmware..... quite annoying and now I'm afraid to do any further 'punching'. Other than that the unit works fine. Have a nice weekend and a big thank you for making these videos - they have been most helpful.
