- Volleyball tryout season is almost to a close; however, I wanted to drop some last tips that may be helpful to those who are coming up in a few weeks. I have been sharing volleyball tips for the last 5 years; however, I wanted to be more specific with the volleyball tips so that you can apply them to your volleyball tryouts. Here are some common things I see happening in your volleyball game.

I’m going in to tryouts for middle school but I’m having trouble having fast transition from the volley to the bump do you have any tips for quick transitions? also your videos have helped me progress and become better a volleyball so much tysm :)
I started watching you in 7th grade before tryouts because I knew nothing about volleyball. Now I’m a sophomore Varsity MB and a starter with 4 other seniors. You are probably the reason I learned what I needed to during my first tryout in middle school. Thank you so much, truly.

I made the team because of you!! I literally had no idea how to play, but I still made b team. I’ll try to be on a team next year. We just had our first game and we won. So glad I tried volleyball it’s so fun!

When your coach gives you tips be appreciative!! Say thank you and actually do what they told you to!
🏐Some tips🏐 are to be kind and try to be friends with the people there also really try your best.Remember call the ball also cheer for the other people there. And lastly have fun and leave with a smile ❤️🏐☺️
I unfortunately didn’t make the team because there wasn’t really a team for freshman, so unfortunately most freshman didn’t make the team 😭😭
My tryouts are this Tuesday and Wednesday and my anxiety makes is harder to sleep. This helps a lot ❤️

@@thechannel1473 I got ungrounded early and I didn’t quit but the playoffs/tournament is this Monday and if i don’t win the volleyball team ends for the whole year but if I do win we keep going and I’m rlly anxious 😬

You helped me out soooo much!!!! I tried out in 7th grade but didn’t make it but I watch your videos and worked hard and made the 8th grade team the next year! I have gotten so much better even without practice every day with a net or a team. In my pe class we play volleyball in a circle and that has helped me tremendously with calling the ball and ball control. I am trying out for jv this year (our tryouts are at the end of the school year so we practice all summer) and I am so excited but scared. Your videos helped me a lot thank you!!!

Being coachable is a HUGE thing, I recently switched from setter to middle and don’t know most of the footwork. During club tryouts yesterday, the coaches were teaching it to me on the spot to see if I could catch on quick and make the changes. Apparently, I did a good job because I got on the 17s team as a 14 year old 5’8” middle. I played on the C team at my high school this year and now I’m playing with the varsity girls! (given my vertical is good, almost all the other hitters are above 5’ 11”)
I needed this so much cause I have tryouts next Monday 😭

My coach’s also do a whole day of ball control (passing it to yourself, little passes to a partner, setting to yourself, ex.
I’m a sophomore and I’ve only played a few times but I don’t know most of anything about this game and it seems fun I really just want to try something new I’m gonna devote myself to practicing
I didnt make it lol, (this was like 2 months ago btw) but they had more than double the amount of people they needed and i had no prior experience so i wasn't that good. however it showed me my love of volleyball and had a lot of fun in the 5 days they held tryouts. anyway i did cross country bc if you get cut from a sport my school lets you do cross country. At first i kinda hated it because we kind of just ran 1-2 miles everyday and it was hot but as soon as i found people to run with it was actually really fun, basically dont be afraid to try out or try new things.

I'm too late in the try outs 😔. I was so scared that I didn't go because I was so scared to be judged cuz I didn't know how to serve floats or jump serves ( i only know underhand serves). I think it's too late too cuz I'm now in 9th grade and I still don't have improvements.
Its never too late take this from someone who went from being benched the whole season to playing all the way around keep trying and you got this.

Edit: if you have team managers that wanna tryout next year for the team, do you pick them next year based on how they did as manager??
Sometimes it’s just biased bc you already know them, so besides that, it’s based more on skill but if you’re pretty good and they’re already familiar with you, you have a really good chance of getting picked and you’ll probably just be another mama get if you don’t which is rare
Tip: if the coach asks you to do something such as “hold your platform together” Do it!

y'all i'm 15 with absolutely no experience at all but i really really really want to start volleyball. i'm learning the basics and going to practice all summer. but i'm super nervous and don't really know if i am brave enough to join a team at this age. does anyone have any tips???
Girl I am a freshman too, at first I wanted to do basketball but I realised how much I love volleyball. Just be yourself, introduce to everyone and cheer people on, the worst case scenario is you don't get on the team but you still have the next 4 years to try. I hope tryoits go well for you.

This is just my case though, this coach in general is a really mean teacher that only likes popular kids and is a pedo

I love your vid KoKo I am trying out for the first time(7th grade middle school) and I just wanna say to others like me be prepared if you have a meaning coach you are going to run for not saying mine some are very picky about that and make sure take that responsibility and HUSTLE

it's never too late, I started training at the beginning of the year, and already am the captain of my school team as a sophomore
