I think these girls were good for sixth grade! When I first started volleyball I absolutely sucked but as time progresses you get a lot better. A little more practice for them and they will be stars
fr, the people commenting like “they need to call the ball” and “they need to have a better form” don’t rlly understand.. it’s 6th grade volleyball, and i bet 2/3 of that team has never played volleyball. they did great for their age
I'm in 6th grade and I just started playing volleyball. I feel like it's hard at first but I think I've progressed a lot and now I can actually do a decent spike! (my spikes used to be trash) :D I will continue playing and enjoying volleyball!!!
@@ameslame i do 4th grade volleyball in singapore and i take part in tournaments and they compared to us is not very good. They need ot move around more and FOCUS on the ball.
I mean there is room for improvement but I think their coaches should teach them pass, set and attack. Or over hand serve? It just hurts to watch them miss the ball alot
They're only in sixth grade! When I was in 7 grade and I didn't learn to overhand, maybe because underhand is better for beginners. I understand but they shouldn't attack. My coach didn't let me
What about 3 contacts? Because if they learn they can gain more points in a game and they it’s a lot better so they can also get used to it in a game to😊
So overall the game was entertaining but I got to say I’m sad I didn’t see many over hand serves because when I was their age I could serve overhand. I do think they need more bump set hits because it was mainly just passes but overall good job girls!
This video was actually really helpful to me because after one week i will be going to my 1st volleyball competition and this is the same way our coach has taught us( like the way of serve and underarm)..this video has motivated me and has given an idea of gow the competition is going to be for me. Thanks a lot!!
I like how they played, I just entered 6th grade and I'm a begginer in volleyball, and I like it's just that I sometimes struggle when I'm supossed to hit or go for the ball.
2:16 the way she shushed the other girls so the server could focus❤ I wish other teams would do that bc its really distracting when the other team is yelling in my face while I serve
Well you usually learn overhand your second or third year it is likely their first or second. I am in sixth grade, my second year, and right now we do not use overhand but practice it and a trying to get it in. Plus, it is almost the end of our season
I’m going into sixth grade and I play for a club team but I’m gonna also try out for my school and they’re actually not bad considering the amount of time they had to learn but overall there are a lot of improvements to be made compared to a club team around that age for upcoming sixth graders some things I can correct so that you can add even more to your is to communicate mine , I go , short, deep over, I set , set 4 , set 3 . Definitely go for some more sets and hits. Practice your serves whether it’s over or under hand but it’s good to get ahead and learn overhand young before it’s a requirement so that you won’t struggle in the future . Be supportive of your teammates. That’s all I rlly have to say but most importantly HAVE FUN!,! Edit- also go for the ball if nobody else is even if it’s deep TRY TO GET TO THAT BALL! And finally… I think at least practice your passing setting and hitting accuracy because one thing I noticed is that a lot of passes just went out of control
I play club and am ab this age. I think they are doing well, but maybe need a bit more time to master a 3 contact approach to smooth it out. also, they should prob work overhand bc its really important but a nice job anyways
I am in eighth grade this year 11 playing volleyball since fourth grade and I hope to make the varsity team next year as a freshman in high school however I’ve always been on the beach team but my team has really stepped up their game this year and we’re actually really good and we were in first place at the beginning of our season an hour in like fifth place because this one team is now undefeated but yeah
they need better training, they are 6th graders so i think its still good for their age but really they need to be trained better, they are playing tennis, volleyball needs action, 3 touches, spikes and good recive, for their age its a good point!
I’m sry but like it hurts not to see some of the girls not down and ready bro my coaches will literally make me run 1000 laps if I’m not down and ready- but I’m also on a club team..
I think they did well! But there is def room for Improvement,I think they should have at least learned how to pass so they don’t have to do everything on their own as passing is very useful to the game, but overall they did well for 6th grade :)
being in a a Samoan family when I was in six grade I was better then 8th grade volleyball players because in a Samoan family volleyball is like the only sport we do
Guys, can you please tell me if I know how to over overhand serve but I don’t know how to do like hand signals and hit really good. Do you think I’ll make the sixth grade middle school volleyball team? Someone please tell me.
Yea it depends on the school u go to like if they r strict or not one important thing is calling the ball and if u don’t hit rly good it’s fine the more u play the better u get hope u make the team :) ❤
I am in six grade and no hate but I like school teams are just kids who don’t know how to play and just started out because I have been playing since I was very young and I recently joined a team so watching this scares me
They can overhand serve if they want, Either it’s more comfortable for them or they’re just better at that skill. There’s no rules whether you have to overhand, underhand , or anything.
i played 9th grade competition when i was in 6th grade so watching these makes me want to get on the court and smack the ball
LITERALLY THE GIRLS WEHN SOMEONE SAYS MINE AND THIS GETS THE BALL

Also whats the point of them wearing knee pads if they aren’t going to use it?

then maybe don’t watch it :D ? They are trying their best! And you clicked on the video

Great analysis. Glad you enjoyed the game.
Exactly. I could serve overhand since 9 years old.
Same
yea i was thinking the same
Nah because was just wondering why the black Jersey team kept dough overhand serves even tho they never went over the net 😭
@@-TheFourYs- maybe they were a little bit worse at the other serve! Atleast she tried her best :D
Overhand serving is harder than underhand serving, so it’s good that their at least trying it I guess😅
Exactly like it’s fine don’t push ur limits 😭

Distracting the server is the point of yelling. While it’s not nice it is fair. Either team can distract the other.
help it’s not going to be a whisper room 💀💀
@@TritonTrojanswait but isn’t that bad sportsmanship..if u don’t wanna be messed up then don’t mess somebody up? (Just asking)
I can serve better when it’s louder because if it’s quiet, it’s just weird and awkward to me at least 😅😬
I wish and feel they should have done overhand... PASS. SET. HIT!!!!

Great for 6th grade! Especially if they just started! Some improve fast, some slow
My advice to Culver: Don’t force the girls to overhand. It’s better to do underhand and get it over than an overhand that doesn’t.
yes i’m in sixth grade but they act like they’ve never hit a ball before- their literally scared of it

#7 on the Trojans has a great underhand for 6th!
I wish both teams coaches would show them how to hit the ball right so they wouldn’t shank the ball
they need to go after the ball no matter what
Guys I’m nervous I have my first school volleyball game ever and I’m starting left back can you give some tips
maybe a bit to late but always pass the ball to the setter if you make the first touch
Work on passing to the setter or just passing in general especially serving just to get it down but I think you will do awesome 👏🏼
start at 1:53
Where are the over hand servs
Serves* and it’s hard to master in 6th grade (11-12yr) and underhand serves work well to hold you over until you learn overhand serve.
Good job but I have a question, why do they keep on over handing its good just needs a little more power. Love the video
That black team was like watching a sloth. You guys did great.
I’m sry but like it hurts not to see some of the girls not down and ready bro my coaches will literally make me run 1000 laps if I’m not down and ready- but I’m also on a club team..
you clicked onto this video ! Their trying their best just know that :)
I think the culver girls should work on a consistent underhand serve for games and then keep working in their over hands. Don’t get points by missing.
I think they are very good, but they should try to do 3 contacts and do pass, set, hit
This is lowkey painful to watch but I play volleyball too and I suck (this was my first year)
I was thinking about joining at my school but I was to scared 🫢
Join its rlly fun
Join and try it out, see if its something you like because I honestly thought I'd hate it but I've really grown to love it. :)
Try it out! It's really fun :D I joined my school team this year and I really didn't regret it--the whole experience was so amazing.

What does it cost the girls to pass the ball so they can finish and not do everything alone?
tis his painful to watch
They are only in the 6th grade

Rules are probably different for 6th leagues. My 6th team could take one step over the line.
Bro i am in 6 grade and i connot play that well😢😢😅😅
So dis single a
Pls be honest
I’m in fifth grade and better then them

The black team needs to stop trying to over hand. They can’t even hit it even in the middle of the court.
And stop over hand serving lol
They can overhand serve if they want, Either it’s more comfortable for them or they’re just better at that skill. There’s no rules whether you have to overhand, underhand , or anything.
