To help with preparation for horde night. I have a crate or safe with everything i need for horde night. Like weapons, steel, explosives, tools and meds, etc. So that way, i then dump all im carrying in a separate crate and then take everything out of my horde crate, and im good to go.
electric fences kill slowly so cops will be able to explode before dying if the only dps being done to them is from the electric fences. The shock doesn't hinder or prevent their self destruct animation.
Possible ceiling turret idea. You could place a sheet on the bottom of the turret, or keep using the plate, and surround the turret with, like an upside down pyramid leaving the side that it needs to shoot out open. It will kind of look like an inverted version of those little cubbies you added above the diving boards.
@usarmysniper682006 that's definitely the kind of design I'm looking for. I was hoping for more of a frame than solid blocks but will go with whatever looks the best. Great call about the sheet on the bottom!
Yeah, I've not tested steel yet but concrete sheet only has 250hp. The plus side is that the turrets stick to the ceiling anyway so at least it wouldn't fall down :D
If I could set different Alarm sounds I'd definitely do that! I've got the alarm in the garage if they do happen to break through, but I think i've got a different plan for that exit...
Your slopes and stairs look nice but I think the blade traps would be more effective if the mobs fell down to the bottom instead of getting electrocuted on the stairs
Yeah, I did notice they were getting shocked a fraction too early a lot of the time. I may just have to go for a traditonal moat style rather than my aesthetic approach! I also don't really need the stairs anymore now that I spec into parkour. They used to be there an my escape route lol
If you want to have all Ur elec traps all going 1 way and it won't reach why not try taking a few blocks out from the edge of the pill box so you can stand where those existing blocks were so then it should reach ok then just replace the blocks you removed after connection? 🤔
It's possible, but it becomes a pain when it gets to repair time. Thing is, I did manage to get them all running the same way. The weird thing was, the central fences would connect going one way, but not the other, even though the distance was EXACTLY the same. So weird!
@@Thinchap it is weird. I've also been having problems with farm plots where it won't let you plant after it's been placed down. I've noticed alot of wierd glitches in 1.0 🙄
Well recovered with that rushed start! Would a rail running from outer pillars (or slanting from the roof one block in), at the same height as your current turret "frames" satisfy your aesthetic?
with the wires running every where it looks like a Doc Brown invention.. Gigawatts powered....
Great Scott!

Makes sense! I'll have to try and pop them when they're shocked :)
With that title I half expected some mistake that would have left the base unpowered as the horde showed up. Turned out alright though.
@gyllkrans only just! It was more for the mad panic than anything :)
frying tonight - a nice carry on screaming reference there m8
I knew I knew it from somewhere, but couldn't place it!

@@Thinchaponly problem is sheets are super weak AF. So upgrade to steel ASAP.

The defences work better than I would have thought. Nice!
@@thomasb.5119 I was surprised to, lol
Thanks for the name drop
Welcome :)
Maybe you can have an alarm on that door that you switch on during horde night to alarm you if they're attacking it?

I using prefer lanterns stuck to the top face, but the bike racks right. lol
@ianmorris6437 aha! It was your idea 💡I'll flip the lantern over when I get the chance :) do you use old lanterns or the more modern ones?
@@Thinchap Modern for hidden lighting, Old for aesthetics

As long as I can connect to the turret base in a realistic way, yeah, exactly something like that :)
@@Thinchap The scaffolding with brackets on the outside of pillars is what I tend to go for
Haha trying to make this base design so I can see if I change it and improve it haha
@@matthewpotter3757 I'm going to do a build guide, I've been wanting to do it for last few weeks but keep running out of time lol
