If you are planning to go to university, computer science is a good path. You can also attend a programming bootcamps, and/or learn skills online. Unity and Unreal are both free software programs/game engines that enable people to make really cool things!

We think there is value and authentic connection that can be had through virtual experiences. We are also big believers in in-person interactions, but one doesn't necessarily preclude the other. As far as frivolous, I guess that's a matter of opinion. If we're talking about value, there is very real opportunity for value creation, both from a monetary standpoint and via personal connection. Digital goods and things like donations can be exchanged through a digital medium, and fans across the world can connect through a virtual experience, something that is impossible with events IRL.

@@i_am_a_real_cat1443 maybe.. but money is how we measure. People pay for things that make their lives better, so if they are paying for something like this, it likely they believe in its potential to improve the human condition on some level. Now if you're saying society's values are misplaced, I think that is a different topic.
